Turkish-born Gökmen Akdoğan is a social media content creator who gained recognition for his resemblance to famous football player Cristiano Ronaldo. Gökmen boasts over 1.5 million followers and more than 15 million likes on TikTok and is known for creating content in Turkish, Arabic, and English for comedic sketches and football-related posts.

A video from a warm-up session of Al Nassr vs. Al Shabab has gone viral on the internet. In the video, Cristiano Ronaldo can be seen confronting his lookalike, Akdoğan, calling him "very ugly" and disagreeing that he looks like him,

"Bro, you don't look like me. You don't look like me. You're very ugly."

Akdoğan was seemingly unfazed by Ronaldo's remarks and responded by saying,

"You are the best. You are the best bro. You are the best."

Gökmen Akdoğan is from Adana, Turkey, and later relocated to Saudi Arabia. In some of his videos, he can be seen roaming around the streets and posing with fans for his resemblance to Ronaldo.

Cristiano Ronaldo spots his lookalike Gökmen Akdoğan

This isn't the first time Ronaldo has spotted Gökmen Akdoğan. Five-time Ballon d'Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo, during a game at the Al-Awwal Park against El-Ettifaq in February, spotted his look-alike Akdoğan.

While warming up, Ronaldo can be seen pausing in front of Akdoğan's face. Ronaldo walked over to his teammate Marcelo Brozovic, while allegedly saying, "looks like me" when the Croatian player asked, "Which one?" Ronaldo pointed at Akdoğan before running away, and Brozovic gave Akdoğan a thumbs up.

Gökmen has made a career out of his uncanny resemblance to the Portuguese football player and is often seen wearing football jerseys coupled with stylish sunglasses.

Cristiano seemingly has a lot of lookalikes from all around the world. A former construction worker, Biwar Abdullah from Iraq, gained recognition for his likeness to the player. Biwar immigrated to England and continued to work in construction when he was spotted by a local shop owner, Shane Douglas, who pointed out his resemblance to Cristiano.

Shane, while speaking to The Sun in an article published in December 2020, noted that Biwar was walking past his shop in a Juventus shirt when he caught his eye. Douglas thought it was Ronaldo and compared him with a copy of a FIFA 19 poster.

Douglas stopped Biwar and informed him of his likeness to the player, and mentioned that "with the right help and contacts there could be a future in this for him."
