Halle Berry reveals she got Adrien Brody's girlfriend, Georgina Chapman's permission to get him back for their infamous 2003 kiss at this year's Oscars.
The Brutalist star and Chapman were speaking with Access Hollywood on the red carpet at the 2025 Oscars when Halle Berry swooped in to crash their interview. She can be seen coming to embrace him before she apologizes to Georgina for doing what she was about to.
She then kissed him, as she told Chapman that she "had to do that, I had to pay him back." She did, however, clarify that she had her permission to kiss him. “Only because Georgina said I could,” she said, right before Adrien kissed his girlfriend.
As for who Georgina Chapman is, the 48-year-old is from London, England. Having formerly worked as a model and costume designer, she now co-owns her own fashion brand, Marchesa, alongside Keren Craig. She is also popular for having appeared as a judge on Project Runway: All Stars from 2012 to 2019, and for designing Constance Wu's Met Gala gown in 2019.
She also has a few acting credits to her name, including on projects like Derailed, Match Point, and Awake. She also appeared as herself on an episode of Gossip Girl.

As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, Berry has been waiting for over two decades "to get him on a red carpet and slap one on.” Her kiss was a nod to the infamous moment the two shared on the stage of the Oscars in 2003 when Brody won the Best Leading Actor Oscar for his performance in The Pianist.
As he took to the stage to accept his award from Halle Berry, he pulled her in for a kiss, catching everyone off guard. At the time, he said to her:
“I bet they didn’t tell you that was in the gift bag.”
This year, Brody stands nominated for best leading actor for his role in The Brutalist. He is competing against Timothée Chalamet for A Complete Unknown, Colman Domingo for Sing Sing, Ralph Fiennes for Conclave, and Sebastian Stan for The Apprentice.
As for Halle Berry, she made history back in 2022 when she became the first Black woman to win an Oscar Academy Award for Best Leading Actress for her work in Monster’s Ball.
