Amid his three-fight losing slump, former two-time UFC Middleweight champion Israel Adesanya has recently been seen training with David Goggins. In an intense video recently shared, Adesanya, also known as "The Last Stylebender" on his Instagram account, is seen throwing up after toiling hard during a cardio session led by the retired Navy SEAL. As Adesanya is seen struggling, Goggins is heard saying:

“This is when you’re gonna find out right here! If you wanna fight, Izzy. You still wanna fight? You still wanna be a champ? This is it right here. [...] Motherf***ers thought this was a joke, it was a f***ing game. It ain't no game bro. This is what it is all about right here."

The motivational speaker is then heard asking others to get Adesanya back on the stepmill machine as he continues to train. Once the screen fades to black, a text appears, teasing the release of a complete workout video. The clip was initially shared from Israel Adesanya’s alternate account, @freestylebender, and described as “one of the most brutal training sessions Izzy has ever done.”

According to IAVA.org (Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America), David Goggins, a well-known influencer and public speaker, is a retired Navy SEAL. The website states that he is also the only US Armed Forces member to complete the SEAL training, the US Army Ranger School, and Air Force Tactical Air Controller training.

Apart from being an International Sports Hall of Famer, and a former world record-holder for pull-ups (finishing 4030 in 17 hours), Goggins, popularly known as an endurance athlete, is also an author, having written two memoirs.

The Last Stylebender, a former kickboxer, has had two MMA fights with Alex Pereira. Their first UFC Middleweight Championship matchup was at Madison Square Garden, New York, during the UFC 281 main event. Pereira triumphed over his former kickboxing adversary and won the title.

Their rematch happened at UFC 287 in Miami, Florida. After winning the fight with a knockout, Izzy did his famous “bow and arrow” celebration. The MMA fighter revealed that he had already visualized his celebration in the shower and backstage before delivering it after the fight.

During a recent chat with Izzy, David Goggins expressed how he loved the style of celebration:

“But see, that's the thing about your celebrations. I already know you've done it somewhere else because no one that I've ever seen the way you celebrate; you celebrate in that moment. You're not like, ‘Oh, I won,’ and then you come back and do it. You revisualize what the f*** you were going to do, ‘cause when you beat him, it happened so fast, when you started pulling those arrows, I was like, "That s*** was sick."

Israel recounted his fight with Pereira and also opened up about taunting his opponent’s son after reclaiming the belt, the one who had previously poked fun at him after his defeat at UFC 281.

Israel, who is currently ranked 4th in the UFC Middleweight class, has lost four of his five fights against the likes of Nassourdine Imavov, Sean Strickland, Dricus Du Plessis, and Alex Pereira. His last fight was with Imavov, which he lost by second-round TKO.
