David Boies, 84, wants Prince Andrew, hailing from the royal family, to issue an official statement regarding the unfortunate death of Virginia Giuffre. He expressed his thoughts and demands in a recent interview with Piers Morgan on the latest Piers Morgan Uncensored episode.

Reacting to Giuffre’s demise, her former attorney said, referring to Prince Andrew,

"I think that he needs to take responsibility for what he did."

He further remarked,

"Virginia was always more interested in fighting the sin than attacking the sinner, and I think that she would have accepted Prince Andrew taking responsibility and would have recognized that. I think that it’s not too late. It’s never too late."

Born on March 11, 1941, in Sycamore, Boies has an impressive educational background. According to information provided on Boies Schiller Flexner, he attended the University of Redlands, Northwestern University, Yale Law School, and New York University.

From 1960 to 1962, he studied at the University of Redlands. Later, in 1964, he completed a B.S. from Northwestern University. He attended Yale Law School in 1966 to receive an LL.B., magna cum laude. Lastly, he completed his LL.M. degree at New York University in 1967.

David Boies’s professional journey started with Cravath, Swaine & Moore, where he joined in 1966. According to Wikipedia, he became a partner at this law firm in 1973. Later, in 1997, he left the company to co-found Boies Schiller Flexner LLP.

His career as a prominent attorney in the U.S. spans decades of experience. Over the years, he has made headlines multiple times, not just because of his expertise as a lawyer but because of the clients he worked for—some of whom were in the spotlight for being arguable and reprehensible at times.

Some of the most controversial cases in David Boies’s career include defending Harvey Weinstein while he was accused of sexual misconduct, and representing the blood-testing firm Theranos in 2011. Additionally, he served as the company’s legal counsel and was a board member. His involvement in such cases sparked conversation and uproar.

In a conversation on the Original Jurisdiction podcast, the American lawyer looked back on his professional achievements and recalled something he is most proud of:

"If you ask the question, which is the case that I am most satisfied about, I think it would be the marriage case because that was a case where we made more difference in more people's lives over a longer period in time."

David encountered a major leadership transition after he decided to step down as chairman of Boies Schiller Flexner LLP last year. However, he remains an integral part of the firm as a partner and an executive committee member.
