Czarniak has had a great career as an Emmy Award-winning sportscaster, and has also built a strong family life with Melvin. The couple who got engaged in 2011, have now been married for over a decade.

Czarniak became fascinated with sports through her father, Chet Czarniak, a former executive editor at USA Today. As a child in Pennsylvania, Lindsay played lacrosse and field hockey (People). She studied online journalism at James Madison University in Virginia.

Lindsay Czarniak got her start in sports broadcasting at the NBC affiliate WRC-TV in Washington, D.C., as a sports anchor and reporter. She received an Emmy Award for her work during her tenure there.

She later joined ESPN in 2011 and became the first woman to host the network’s coverage of the iconic Indianapolis 500. Czarniak has been a key figure at Fox Sports since 2019, joining coverage for Fox NFL and Fox NASCAR.

Czarniak has a career beyond sports journalism. She has played a role in the 2000 film Aquarius, and she acted as a news reporter in the 2010 horror film Ghosts Don’t Exist.

The love story for Czarniak and Craig Melvin began backstage at WRC-TV, where they met in 2008. The duo soon started dating and got married in 2011. The couple has since established a life together in Connecticut, where they live with their son Delano, who was born in 2014, and daughter Sybil, who was born in 2016.
