Actor Connor Swindells tied the knot with fellow actor Amber Anderson, known for her portrayal of Lady Diana Mitford in Peaky Blinders, at Boath House in the Scottish Highlands. Anderson wore a silk off-the-shoulder gown paired with sheer gloves by Vivienne Westwood, while Swindells wore a navy double-breasted blazer and matching trousers by Atelier Arena.

The couple met on Autumn de Wilde's Emma set and remained friends. Their relationship blossomed during the COVID-19 pandemic when they reconnected as lockdown restrictions eased. Photos from their marriage ceremony were posted by British Vogue on Instagram and were captioned:

“Starting out as friends before falling in love is a classic Hollywood trope, so it’s perhaps fitting that actors #AmberAnderson and #ConnorSwindells followed the same route to romance.”

Connor Swindells, known for his role as Adam Groff in Sex Education, reportedly dated Amber Anderson since 2020. Swindells’ co-star Alistair Petrie officiated their marriage, known for his role as Michael Groff in the series, who stood behind the couple during their outdoor ceremony as they exchanged vows.

Amber Anderson’s grandmother gave her away at the altar. In a piece by Vogue Magazine, she revealed that her father couldn't participate in the ceremony due to health issues. Classical musician Sean Shibe played her father’s guitar as she walked down the aisle.

The ceremony featured readings and an aura cleansing for the groom by comedy duo Maddy and Marina Bye. Even the couple’s dog, Moose, had a part, serving as the ring bearer.

Connor Swindells and Amber Anderson also had a Celtic quaich ceremony

Before the reception, the couple participated in a Celtic quaich ceremony, sharing a cup of whisky. They offered a selection of Scottish delicacies at the reception, including haggis, neeps, and tatties. Instead of a traditional wedding cake, they opted for individual chocolate nemesis cakes, a nod to their favorite dessert from the River Café. Amber Anderson said,

“It was originally to do with clans meeting, it’s a cup which you hold with both hands, with the symbolism being that you can’t have a sword in your hand if they’re both holding the cup, and you put whisky in it and drink from that.”

Connor Swindells proposed to Amber Anderson during a group trip to Botswana after cleverly diverting her suspicion. While filming in Italy months before, he realized the upcoming trip would be the perfect moment for the proposal.

To ensure Amber wouldn’t catch on, he enlisted his best friend Oakley to handle the ring's collection and transportation, knowing that Amber might sense any signs of a proposal if he managed it himself.

Once in Botswana, the couple's friend and guide, Gareth, recommended that Connor propose beneath a stunning 1,400-year-old baobab tree, which he could lead them. Connor Swindells faced the challenge of getting Amber Anderson into a Land Cruiser alone, convincing her to drive to a secluded spot without revealing his intentions.

Eventually, Gareth communicated over the radio that he had found some leopard tracks and would investigate further, suggesting a safe spot for them if they needed a restroom. As they rounded the corner, they arrived at the magnificent baobab tree, and Connor Swindells knew it was his moment. Shortly after, Gareth heard the radio crackle with the news that Amber had said yes.
