Sophie Flay has gained interest as the only daughter of the celebrity chef Bobby Flay. Sophie is the daughter of Bobby and his second wife, Kate Connelly, born on April 16, 1996.
Sophie is an up-and-coming successful broadcast journalist. She has also featured alongside her father multiple times on screen. Bobby often posts loving messages about Sophie on social media and refers to her as his “favorite girl in the world.”
Sophie first appeared on screen in America’s Next Great Restaurant in 2011 as a child taster, and she has since made several appearances alongside her father on shows such as Brunch at Bobby’s and Beat Bobby Flay.
But she eventually took her own turn, enrolling at the University of Southern California in 2014 and graduating with a broadcast journalism degree in 2018.
Sophie still allows for some family time, despite her busy schedule in journalism, to lend her support to her dad’s cooking endeavors. She recently visited New York to see Bobby’s restaurant, Bobby’s Burgers, at Yankee Stadium. The visit came hours after they appeared together on Elvis Duran and the Morning Show, where the father and daughter duo tried dishes and made fun of each other on air.
In the segment, co-host Danielle Monaro teased Bobby’s rumored romance with another Food Network star, Brooke Williamson. As a response, Sophie quipped:
"He always has a different date."
According to People, Sophie Flay's remark was allegedly made to quietly reference his ongoing romantic life with Brooke Williamson.
