Billie Beatrice Dane, the eldest daughter of actor Eric Dane and actress Rebecca Gayheart, is often seen attending events with her parents. Eric Dane has recently been diagnosed with ALS, a news he revealed in an exclusive interview with People Magazine.

In his statement, he said:

"I have been diagnosed with ALS. I am grateful to have my loving family by my side as we navigate this next chapter. I feel fortunate that I am able to continue working and am looking forward to returning to set of Euphoria next week. I kindly ask that you give my family and I privacy during this time."

Eric Dane and his wife, who have been separated since 2018, continue to share a close bond and raise their two children.

Billie Beatrice Dane was born on 3 March 2010 to parents who are both in the entertainment industry. She was named after her paternal grandfather, as revealed by Eric Dane during his 2016 appearance on Harry, a talk show hosted by Harry Connick Jr. Dane quipped:

"[Billie's] named after my father. ... Whether it was a boy or a girl, the firstborn was gonna be a Billie."

The "Grey's Anatomy" actor, who became a father for the first time with the birth of his daughter, spoke about his excitement and nervousness during his appearance on the Ellen DeGeneres Show.

"I'll be in the room. I'm going to stay close to my wife and make sure that she is all right. I'm really excited. I'm also very interested."

Billie Beatrice Dane, who has now already started to model and is also a trained ballet dancer, graduated from high school last year. Her mother, Rebecca Gayheart, posted on her Instagram, saying:

"I know you are more than ready for this next chapter. I have watched you juggle school, ballet and life with tenacity, grace and humor. You’re as beautiful inside as you are on the outside. I’m beyond proud of you Billie and love you 4ever and always."

Georgia Geraldine Dane, the second daughter of Rebecca Gayheart and Eric Dane, was born on 28 December 2011. Her birth was announced in a statement released by the representatives of the "Wasteland" actress.

The statement read:

"Rebecca Gayheart and husband Eric Dane welcomed Georgia Geraldine Dane on Dec. 28, just in time for the New Year!"

Georgia Dane is a volleyball player, who has been seen playing the game, on her her mother's Instagram story, as the actress was seen supporting her during a match.

In an interview with People Magazine, Dane showed love for his family by adding how thankful he was to have them.

"I never had a family, and now I do. I know I'm a very lucky guy."

The last time both siblings were seen attending the red carpet was for the premiere of "Bad Boys: Ride or Die" with their father.

Rebecca Gayheart, who had in March taken back her divorce case despite being separated from Dane since 2018, revealed new details about their relationship and how they co-parent their children in an exclusive interview with Entertainment Now on 9 April. She said:

"We are best of friends. We are really close. We are great coparents. We really figured out the formula to staying a family and I think our kids are benefiting greatly from it and we are as well.'

The "Beverly Hills, 90210" actress further added their relationship is certainly a successful one, especially if one looks at how they are raising their children.

"I think it’s important to not look at a relationship that ends as a failure. It's just a season. It wasn't a failure. It was a huge success. We were married for, I mean, we are still married, but together for 15 years and we had two beautiful kids so I think that's a successful relationship, and that's how we look at it."

This news came one day before Eric Dane shared his ASL diagnosis on April 10. The couple is now committed to raising their daughters, Billie Beatrice Dane and Georgia Dane, while navigating their work and Eric's condition.
