Vanderpump Rules star James Kennedy has come to the forefront of controversy following his arrest on misdemeanor domestic violence charges on Tuesday night, per TMZ.
Kennedy and his girlfriend, Ally Lewber, have been dating since January 2022, People Magazine reported, about six weeks after Kennedy broke things off with his ex. Per the outlet, the two moved in together the following year and share two cats and a dog. As for Kennedy's contentious behavior, Lewber felt she knew that “meeting him [was] different.”
"I gave him a chance to really show me who he is," Lewber claimed, before saying that “he's lovely."

Ally Lewber is an influencer who graduated from Belmont University in 2018. There, she earned a bachelor’s degree in entertainment industry studies and a minor in entertainment journalism.
Two years later, she joined Penn State where she learned about “synoptic/physical meteorology” and “analyzing/reading satellite/radar imagery.”
As her website mentions, Lewber is a Hellenistic astrologer. She focuses on "natal astrology, offering insights into their personal birth charts and planetary alignments to help promote a deeper sense of self-love and acceptance."
As for her and James Kennedy, the two first went public in March 2022 when they shared images from their vacation abroad. At the time, Kennedy had been keeping the identity of his girlfriend lowkey, and the post simply confirmed things. Per People Magazine, the caption of the Instagram post read:
"Only the most magical trip I've ever experienced in my entire life, here's a little slide show of today's adventure…. Share the love people! and the positivity! cause life's too short."
By Season 10 of the Vanderpump Rules show, Lewber joined the cast. Also a singer, Lewber released Girl's Girl in April 2024. James Kennedy co-wrote and produced the track with her.

Just one day after James Kennedy was booked for the misdemeanor charges, Ally Lewber was spotted out and about in Los Angeles, where she hosted a holiday party for Windsor at the Short Stories Hotel, E! News reported. She wore a black faux fur coat, a black velour dress, and some matching strappy heels.
Ally Lewber has yet to comment on the situation, and it remains to be seen if she was on the receiving end of the alleged abuse, though TMZ has reported that Kennedy got violent with an unidentified woman. Reportedly, authorities did not notice any injuries upon arriving at the scene, but Kennedy was taken into custody anyway.
