In the midst of an ongoing controversy involving actor Adam Mondschein, people are curious to know more about his life, specifically his marriage to actress Yaani King.
Mondschein recently found himself in the spotlight after coming out against Blake Lively's accusations in her sexual harassment lawsuit against director Justin Baldoni. By doing so, Mondschein, who starred as Dr. Dunbar in It Ends With Us, has been caught up in a media firestorm.
Yaani King is a well-known American actress with a long career in stage, television, film, and even video games. She was born and raised in Brooklyn and Queens, New York, and has a Guyanese West Indian heritage. According to IMDB, she was exposed to acting from an early age by watching her mother perform in plays.
King moved from stage to film, beginning her career in film and television with appearances in The Prince and Me and Sex and the City. Her big breakthrough came when she was cast as a series regular as Neely Lloyd on the TNT drama Saving Grace.
She has also had recurring characters on Blood & Oil, Aquarius, and The Haves and the Have Nots. She also rose to fame within the gaming world for providing Riley Abel's voice in the hit game The Last of Us: Left Behind.
Yaani King’s recent Instagram post addresses Adam Mondschein
Yaani King first met Adam Mondschein when she moved to LA 20 years ago. What started as a close friendship soon turned into a romantic relationship, and the two got married on 25th July 2012. In a recent throwback post, King uploaded several photos of her husband and thanked him for being a part of her LA journey.
"First as a friend for 5 years then as my love for the past 13. None of these wonderful milestones or incredible projects I’ve been involved would be half as magical without him." She captioned her post.
Adam Mondschein is now the focus of public interest after Lively filed a lawsuit claiming that she was made to feel uneasy on set while filming a birth scene in It Ends With Us.
According to her complaint, Blake Lively claimed that Baldoni had his "best friend" cast in a sex scene and the set was not professional when filming a scene where she was "nearly nude."
Mondschein, who was cast as the actor in the scene, responded publicly, labeling her version as untrue. He claimed that Lively was dressed entirely in a hospital gown, shorts, and a prosthetic belly and asserted that the shoot was professional. He also came to his own defense and cited that he was hired locally, not flown in as a favor to Baldoni.
"Ms. Lively’s insinuations regarding my qualifications are offensive, as my bonafides are easily searchable online," Mondschein told Page Six.
The drama around the Blake Lively-Justin Baldoni saga has refused to die down, with Mondschein's angle being the latest offshoot.
