In 2024, Rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine’s house in Lake Worth, Florida, was raided by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). Many of 6ix9ine’s possessions and cars were seized by the officials. However, some of these items will reportedly be auctioned by the IRS, with bidding starting on March 5, 2025, per social media reports and the Market Auctions website.

Concerning the raid, 6ix9ine shared his thoughts after taking to his Instagram stories on January 31, 2025. He mentioned that the IRS conducted the raid because he did not report his income for four years. Tekashi 6ix9ine wrote:

“1 year ago when I was stuck in RD 8 months the feds made a raid for the entire house because I did not report my income for 4 years. And for them it was seen how I was running and hiding in DR when the reality was that I could not leave and get to the USA. If you don't live like this without renting you shouldn't have an opinion.”

Here's what more we know about the auction and the raid at Tekashi 6ix9ine’s house

The jewelry listed on the auction sites previously owned by 6ix9ine, aka Daniel Hernandez, was reportedly featured in his music videos. A note mentions that the government does not guarantee the jewelry’s authenticity, condition, or suitability for any purpose.

Moreover, buyers cannot request refunds or adjustments if the items do not meet expectations. The sale has been announced following legal requirements. The note states:

“Under the authority contained in Section 6335 of the Internal Revenue Code and the regulations hereunder, I, PALS Paul Reed, hereby offer all right, title, and interest of Daniel Hernandez in and to the personal property offered for auction including, but not limited to, jewelry, handbags, and record plaques.”

As per a report by Complex, in December 2023, reports surfaced that items linked to 6ix9ine would be auctioned due to a multimillion-dollar lawsuit judgment against him for allegedly striking a woman with a champagne bottle. By April 2024, authorities had raided his home and confiscated various belongings. Two of his luxury cars, a Lamborghini and a Bentley, were reportedly auctioned and sold in July 2024.

According to Newsweek, IRS auctions allow the government to recover unpaid taxes by selling seized assets from individuals and businesses. While they typically involve real estate, vehicles, and business equipment, auctions featuring celebrity-owned items are also a part.
