Which high school did Taylor Swift attend? NASCAR star Josh Berry dishes on his fellow school alum and her romance with Travis Kelce

NASCAR star Josh Berry is speaking up about his former classmate, Taylor Swift, and her romance with Travis Kelce.

The driver, 34, sat down for a new episode of the Rubbin' is Racing podcast, where he spoke about what it's like for him when people learn he went to school with the Love Story songstress.

“It’s one of those things when you’re doing an interview one day and somebody’s like, ‘Hey, what’s a funny, crazy story about you?’” he said. “I’m like, ‘Oh, I went to school with Taylor Swift.’ You don’t think that’s that big of a deal. But good gosh, man. It never ends.”

Berry and Swift, 35, attended Hendersonville High School in Hendersonville, Tennessee. Swift finished her 9th and 10th grade there before she shifted to Aaron Academy, which allowed her to be homeschooled as she pursued her budding music career.

During the episode, Josh Berry revealed that Swift was "in a different grade," adding, “I didn’t really know her. I know of somebody who knew her kind of deal. But I didn’t really know her.” He then revealed that the questions about his former schoolmate came pouring in when Swift began dating a member of the Kansas City Chiefs.

“Then she starts dating Travis Kelce and it all comes back again,” Berry said. “I’m like, ‘I don’t care about Travis Kelce. He has nothing to do with me.’ It just never ends.”

Elsewhere in the segment, Josh Berry also shared that he grew up near Indycar superstar Josef Newgarden, who went to the Pope Saint John Paul II Preparatory School, about 5 miles away.

“With Josef, we were both in school at the same time but we really didn’t know each of us raced,” Berry said. “He didn’t really know I raced, I didn’t really know he raced. We were around each other, but didn’t really connect the dots.”

Taylor Swift shifted from Pennsylvania to Hendersonville in 2004, and at the time, her mom, Andrea, told former Henderson High School principal Paul Decker about their plans. However, in a story from WKRN-TV published on Friday, Decker recounted how he first felt skeptical:

“Being at Hendersonville High School and as much music as there is in this area, I thought, ‘You don’t know how many times I’ve heard that right here in this office,’ he said. “But I did say, ‘Well, I hope it works out for you.’”

Swift and Kelce made their relationship official in September 2023. At the time, the former was attending a Kansas City Chiefs game against the Chicago Bears. As for Josh Berry, just last year, he came in 27th place in the NASCAR Cup Series, and his first win on the circuit came last month at the Pennzoil 400 in Las Vegas.
