American rapper Rick Ross ventured into the dental business by partnering up with Dr. Mario Montoya to open the first U.S. location of the Colombian luxury dental brand Smiles by Mario Montoya in Atlanta.

Rick Ross, along with Montoya, celebrated the grand opening of their new practice on March 20 in Sandy Springs, Georgia. The event was guest-only, and some of the biggest names in sports, music, and business, including Roscoe Dash, Ayo & Teo, and CBS Big Brother stars - Makensy Manbeck and Matt Hardeman, were in attendance.

Ross has been a fan of Montoya's skills since he first visited his practice in Cali, Colombia in October 2020 for the royal treatment and a fresh set of porcelain veneer grills. As per TMZ, the entire procedure took six hours.

While speaking to Black Enterprise about the new location, Ross mentioned,

"Atlanta is one of the most iconic cities, not just in the U.S but in the world. When it comes to the culture, when it comes to my people, when it comes to us investing in ourselves, you know, the level of artistry is unmatched in Atlanta."

He also added,

"Me and Mario used to have conversations and he used to tell me how many people from Atlanta would fly to Colombia and that's when he told me what his idea was and here we are."

"Everybody that can't get to Colombia can now head to Atlanta" - says Rick Ross

While speaking about his newest venture, Smiles by Mario Montoya, with Dr. Mario Montoya, Rick Ross spoke to AllHipHop and mentioned,

"Everybody that can't get to Colombia can now head to Atlanta for that billion-dollar smile."

Ross isn't Montoya's first celebrity client. The celebrity dentist boasts a high-profile clientele, including Nicki Minaj, French Montana, Ari Fletcher, and Moneybagg Yo, who had to fly to Colombia for his signature porcelain veneer treatments. The new Atlanta location will be led by Dr. Vanessa Villalobos, CEO of the clinic.
