Ellen DeGeneres recently celebrated the 20th anniversary of her relationship with retired actress Portia de Rossi. On Thursday, March 20, the former TV host-comedian posted a picture with her longtime lover and wife.
In the photo, Portia and Ellen are seen gazing into one another’s eyes with a sunset backdrop. Commemorating their love, DeGeneres captioned the post,
“20 years together. Happy to be with you everywhere and always @portiaderossi.”
Their relationship turned 20 last December, which coincided with their recent shift to the UK. The couple was previously residing in their Montecito property but relocated to a farmhouse in the Cotswolds. According to TheWrap, Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi left the US after Donald Trump was re-elected president.
The pair’s UK countryside farmhouse is about a 100-mile drive from London, per Daily Mail. The rural England neighborhood where Ellen and Portia live is apparently the residential choice for many top celebrities. According to Daily Mail, the Cotswolds region in southwest England is reportedly home to the likes of David and Victoria Beckham, Kate Moss, Jeremy Clarkson, and more.
The Sun reported in October 2024 that the couple had bought a home in the Cotswolds. The Warp further cited a source, suggesting that the pair doesn’t plan to move back to the US. According to the Realtor, they bought their Cotswolds farmhouse for $18 million.
Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi recently listed a Montecito cottage
Last week, on March 10, Realtor revealed that the ex-TV host listed one of the last properties in California for $5 million. Portia and Ellen had reportedly bought the 1,691 square feet cottage for $2.9 million in December 2020. The listing of their Montecito property reads:

The recent listing is one of the many properties in the US that the couple has gradually sold recently. They previously relisted another Montecito property for $29.99 million in January.

Describing Portia as a “beautiful soul,” Ellen continued,
