Bethenny Frankel says she needs a change of space. Frankel, 54, took to Instagram on Thursday, April 17, to reveal that she would be "moving to Florida for personal and professional reasons."

“Something has arisen that made this the best and healthiest for myself and my daughter," she said in the video. She added, “We will maintain residences in the Hamptons and New York City because we love New York. This will be our primary and permanent residence.”

She then panned the camera to a picturesque view of Florida's coast, noting that “This will be my backyard."

“Excited to share this with you … It’s been a concept for a while, but personal & private circumstances have made this the healthiest life choice,” Frankel reiterated in the social media caption. “#florida #sunshinestate #xoxo #moving #lifechange.”

Everything we know about Bethenny Frankel's decision to relocate:

Bethenny Frankel, a former Real Housewives of New York City star, will be shifting coastside alongside her 14-year-old daughter, Bryn, whom she shares with her former husband, Jason Hoppy.

Frankel has been living in NYC for decades, but according to the New York Post, she sold her apartment in Manhattan in 2022. Her rep, Jill Fritzo, revealed that the reality star's "residences will be in the Hamptons and Connecticut,” she told the publication.

Another source told the Post:

“She will live in Connecticut, and when it’s summer or the weather gets hot, she will head out to the Hamptons. I’m sure she will be back in New York City again. Just with the pandemic and everything else going on, it just won’t be now.”

Back in March 2022, Frankel spoke with Fox 5 New York, when she told them:

“I’m not going to lie. I walk with my daughter. We had multiple incidents. She cringes now. She won’t walk down the street without digging into my hand. It’s not what it used to be.” She added, “It is not the same city that we used to have. It’s got to get under control. I feel like it’s the place to dip in for business and to maybe get a meal, but I don’t feel like risking my life.”

Bethenny Frankel hinted at her move earlier this month when she uploaded a photo of U-Haul boxes on Instagram, seemingly in her new house.

“Life is good albeit with some unexpected stressful surprises … Moments with good friends, food, laughs, and as always a little chaos,” she captioned the Instagram post, adding, “So many exciting changes coming soon… but you nosy B’s will just have to wait and see 😉 xoxo #lifelately #goodlife #suprises #happy.”

Bethenny Frankel's announcement comes on the heels of the news that she called off her engagement to Paul Bernon. The pair dated for six years before they called it quits in May 2024.
