When did Rami Malek and Lucy Boynton split? Actor’s dating history explored amid Emma Corrin breakup reports

Reports of Rami Malek’s high-profile romances and relationships have always garnered public interest. Most recently, the Bohemian Rhapsody star reportedly ended his nearly two year romance with The Crown alum Emma Corrin, causing many fans to revisit his previous relationship with actress Lucy Boynton.

Rami Malek and Boynton first started dating in 2017 after meeting on the set of Bohemian Rhapsody, where they played the famed real-life couple, Freddie Mercury and Mary Austin.

Their chemistry in front of the camera soon turned into off-screen romance. Malek officially acknowledged their romance while receiving the Breakthrough Performance Award at the Palm Springs International Film Festival. Per People, Malek said while accepting the award:

"Thank you, Lucy Boynton. You have been my ally, my confidant, you are my love." He added: "I appreciate you so much."

In the following years, the couple made many appearances together at red carpet events, including the Oscars, Golden Globes, and Met Gala.

Lucy Boynton spoke openly in interviews about how Malek had impacted her acting career, as well as the precious moments spent with his family, especially his mother.

"Nelly [Malek's mother] is the one you call because she's done the talk," the actress told People magazine. "No, here's how it is: you are fine, you have all these actor's anxieties and this is what it's actually like," she added.

By 2022, however, there reportedly were signs of a potential split. Although the couple never formally confirmed a split, speculation grew when Malek was seen having dinner with his No Time to Die co-star Léa Seydoux and attending events without Boynton.

Rami Malek and Emma Corrin’s romance reportedly started in the middle of 2023, soon after Malek split from his longtime partner, Lucy Boynton. According to Elle, they were seen together for the first time in July, when they attended a Bruce Springsteen concert.

By August their romance was more evident, with sightings over dinner and in affectionate photos in London. An Elle report stated that their relationship became public when they were photographed kissing in September 2023, and soon after shared a beach walk with Corrin’s dog.

The couple were seen together at the Paris Fashion Week and the Venice Film Festival. In November, they were spotted on a Hollywood Hills hike.

According to a report in The Guardian, Rami Malek loved addressing Corrin affectionately as “Em” and “my partner.” He praised their personality, calling them “fascinating” and enthusiastic about their mutual fascination for odd and unconventional things.

However, by April 2025, reports surfaced suggesting the couple had quietly parted ways, though neither has publicly commented on the split.
