The actor revealed that he was cast in Season 3 of HBO's popular series The White Lotus after they got engaged. Schwarzenegger remarked,

"Finally, a year and a half ago, we got engaged, and it was our moment. It was this great thing."

Patrick Schwarzenegger continued,

"And a few days later, I booked White Lotus. I was like, 'Abby, I know we’re in this high of engagement, and we’re gonna get married this year, but we’re gonna have to push it. I got White Lotus, and I’m gonna go film for the next seven months in Thailand.'"

From what could've been a disappointing situation for any bride-to-be, Champion wholeheartedly endorsed Patrick Schwarzenegger's choice. He remembered,

"She was so happy. She was ecstatic because she’s a huge fan [of the show]."

Schwarzenegger said that his family was delighted with his performance. he posted a video to Instagram that captured the moment when he revealed to his sister Katherine Schwarzenegger and mother Maria Shriver that he got booked for The White Lotus.

Patrick Schwarzenegger plays the role of Saxon Ratliff, who is the eldest son of Timothy, played by Jason Isaacs, and Victoria, played by Par­ker Posey. Since the premiere of the third season, Patrick has been receiving praise for his role from everywhere, including his brother-in-law, Chris Pratt.

After landing the part, the actor previously told PEOPLE that it was "the greatest day in history for me." Given his well-known last name, he also addressed allegations of nepotism that erupted after he was cast in the series.
