Mark Curry left Bad Boy Records in 2005. The Bad Boy Records protege in an Instagram Live session accused Diddy and Jay-Z of achieving immense wealth by exploiting those around them. Curry also noted that Jay-Z wasn't there for him while he was going through a difficult time:
"He ain't ever picked up the phone and said, 'Hey, Mark...What can we do to possibly make sure that you're straight?' They don't do that. These n***as is crazy. That's why they going through what they going through. Because you know why? You do not do God's children like that. Of course, they are fake."
Mark also emphasized that their attitude reflects a broader issue within the music industry, allegedly claiming that Diddy's success has harmed others:
"Don't think that Jay-Z and Puff are the biggest moguls ever. They're great people. But what you want to look at is the great people that weren't able to become because of them people. So we gonna leave them there? How many people could have been greater that weren't made because of their empowerment?"
Mark Curry has spoken up about Diddy in the past. In January 2024 amidst numerous s*xual assault allegations against Diddy, Mark in an Interview with The Art of Dialogue, alleged that Diddy is fully capable of the allegations he is being accused of.
More about Mark Curry's rants against Diddy
Mark Curry's recent social media live session rant isn't the first time he has spoken against the Bad Boy Records founder. In the wake of s*xual assault allegations against Diddy, Curry in an interview with The Art of Dialogue in January 2024, said:
"I think he's very capable of doing that. It's in his character. It's who he is. That's what comes with power. That's what comes with arrogance...When you have a history of (violence) it becomes a problem."
In September 2023, Curry also spoke against Diddy when he later decided to return Bad Boy's publishing records to artists and songwriters.
Curry who was featured on several of the label's records, including the popular, Bad Boy 4 Life in a video on Instagram noted that Diddy returning publishing records isn't going to be of much worth to artists. Curry noted that Combs had returned publishing rights to him a long time ago but would rather have the money instead of the publishing. He also called the move "disrespectful."
