Recalling her 2000s romance with Alec Baldwin, Kristin Davis mentioned that she was reluctant to break up with the actor owing to his wealth and his house in Amagansett. She recalled consulting Sex and the City co-star, Sarah Jessica Parker at the time, and said:

"Like, I remember I was at work and I was like, 'Sarah Jessica, I just don't know if it's going to work out with Alec and I, but I just really love that house. Which is really one of the only times I have felt that way, do you know?"

Kristin Davis acknowledged feeling embarassed to voice her reasons out loud and added:

"I don't want to break up with his person because I like his house. It's so embarassing to say that out loud but it's true."

Alec Baldwin acquired the Amagansett house in question for $1.7 million in the nineties, according to New York Post, and expanded it significantly. The house is sprawled across a 10,000-square foot property.

Baldwin put the house on the market in 2022 for under $19 million, which was $10 million less than his original asking price. According to a New York Times article, the price cut is allegedly due to the uncertainty in his finances amid his manslaughter trial.
