Dave Blunts is being scrutinized for his performance on Juice WRLD Day, given that he delivered his rendition of the late rapper's most famous tracks while seated on a couch, hooked to an oxygen mask and tank. He was later spotted in a wheelchair, with security escorting him. As he finished his set, he said:

“I do this for Juice. I do this for me. We keep going, no matter what.”

Juice WRLD Day honors the late artist who died of a drug overdose. The 4th annual event was held on Saturday, November 30th, at the United Center on what would have been his 26th birthday. The guest lineup included Kodak Black, Lil Yachty, Polo G, Trippie Redd, Cordae, TBA, and more.

Fans react to Dave Blunts' performance, says it's "heartbreaking to see"

During Dave Blunts' set, the crowd cheered him on. However, the ire came not long after online, with many expressing concern for his health and referring to his tribute as an insult to Juice WRLD's memory. In videos circulating online, Blunts can be seen lipsyncing to prerecorded tracks, prompting users to take digs at his inability to perform without a vocal crutch.

Here's how one user reacted:

"This isn’t even about just being overweight, he cannot hard breathe because his body is suffocating him at this point. I hope he gets some help before too late. He’s got a great voice when he can use it."

Others had a lot more to say:

"That's awful. I can't imagine being like that. Snoop did him a favor by calling him out," someone noted.
"Dave Blunts performing at that Juice Wrld show feels so disgusting. A man actively dying in front of your eyes for your entertainment at a concert of a man who’s entire legacy is music about drug use that lead to a very young death, it all feels so demonic and disgusting," another user pointed out.
"Dave blunts is a tragic figure, in the vein of artists like elliott smith, amy winehouse, or juicewrld. but because instead of heroin or alcohol, he chooses to overdose on chicken wings, our natural impulse upon watching this unfold is that it is grotesque," a third person stated.

The comments didn't end there:

"The Dave Blunts gimmick not funny bro, I just can't vibe with watching a nigga that big operate on borrowed time and get turned into the butt of the joke," one user tweeted.
"Nobody likes symbols of unhealthiness. Dave Blunts should be visiting Dr. Now, instead of being on stage looking 10 seconds away from the grave. Ain't nothing about this is cool, or funny. We, as a community, need to start taking better care of our health," another asserted.
"How does one even achieve a build like Dave Blunts? Like Bro shouldn’t even be performing anymore in the first place since he had to use an oxygen tank at his most recent appearance," yet another suggested.

The opinions went on, with some even suggesting that the artist resort to Ozempic, a drug known for its slimming effects, to get fitter.

Blunts takes shots at Snoop Dogg for criticizing his weight

On-stage, he also publicly took shots at Snoop Dogg. The latter took to Instagram to poke fun at Dave Blunt's weight earlier in November. He uploaded a video of him singing in a similar setting, on a couch, and the caption read:

"We’ll put down the chicken wings and Tata chips Nefew and that chair gone break soon get to the end of the cup 😂😂😂."

At the concert, however, he called out the hip-hop veteran:

"I see the big dog talking. Snoop, you think you funny? You don’t know what it’s like to fight for your life every damn day. I got demons, and a tank to prove it. Don’t come for me when you have been blessed enough to be here that long, respect the struggle.”

Dave Blunts fired off one more insult at the legend, telling him to “Get the f**k off my d**k” before he got back to his song. Snoop, however, reacted to the incident with even more sarcasm. He took to social media to say:

"That was funny, go head lil homie, I mean big homie… I ain't f****** with you. Have your fun. I apologize to this n*gga, He's still going off on me. I must be getting old!”

Dave Blunts has been vocal about his struggles to lose weight in the past. As reported by Blavity, in one of his Instagram posts, he noted that he is “making an effort to change.” He also revealed that he is "eating fruit, and nowadays, the only thing my double cup is full of is water!”
