Actor Joey Lawrence recently celebrated his 49th birthday with wife Samantha Cope. The couple, married since 2022, spent a quite day with each other, and the Insecure actress posted a picture of them on her Instagram Stories, with the caption:

"Celebrating my cutie all week."

In the picture posted on Sunday, Joey Lawrence enjoys drinks with his wife, who leans her head against him. Samantha Cope is quite active on social media, and often shares pictures of the couple and their life together.

Joey Lawrence began his career as a part of the trio of brothers, Mathew, Joey and Andrew, who rose to fame in the 1990s hit TV series, Brotherly Love. Cope and Lawrence tied the knot on May 1, 2022, at the Temecula Creek Inn in California, in a private ceremony attended by friends and family.

In an exclusive statement to People magazine, the former Masked Singer star shared how perfect the moment was for both of them. He said:

"When you meet the right person, if you're lucky enough, it cuts to the chase so quick. I have somebody who is like-minded and has the same love language and we communicate the same way. That's super important. And I am so thankful."

Samantha Cope also expressed how she felt with him:

"From day one, it was such a safe place to be myself. He loves everything about me and celebrates all those weird quirks about me. I was so blessed to be in a position to receive that. Two weeks in, I was like, 'I will be with you forever.'"

The couple had met in 2020 during the filming of their movie, My Husband's Secret Brother, and had been engaged in 2021, after a year of dating.

Joey Lawrence was previously married to Chandie Yawn-Nelson, with whom he shares two daughters. The couple divorced in 2020 after 15 years of marriage and have continued to coparent their children. The Melissa and Joey actor was also previously married to Michelle Vella for three years, before their divorce in 2005.

Joey Lawrence welcomed his first child, a daughter, Dylan Rose, with wife Samantha Cope, on January 16, 2023. Lawrence celebrated her birth by posting a picture of his newborn daughter on Instagram. He wrote:

"Mom, Dad and big sisters are all so smitten with you sweet girl."

According to People, Samantha Cope filed for divorce in August 2024, due to an alleged affair that Lawrence had during their marriage. During the divorce proceedings, Lawrence appeared on The Brotherly Love Pod, which he co-hosts with his brothers and, opened up about the situation and his commitment to his children. He said:

"I try to protect my children at all costs and what’s happened lately is not OK. This has been a multifaceted journey these four [or] five years. Actually, there was a lot of pain in that journey despite public perception and what it looks like [on social]. Life will move on and we will move through this. And my children will be at the forefront."

He added:

"I have always and will always be the best dad I can possibly be and I will take care of my girls until the day I die. And I will cherish them and honor them and do my best by them. I'm not perfect but I will do my best by them for sure."

However, a couple of months later the Flowers and Honey actress filed a motion to dismiss the divorce, citing that the couple was working on their relationship.

The couple is now often seen posting for pictures together with their two-year-old daughter.
