Jessica Alba thinks she would have been good at skateboarding

In 2024, Jessica Alba and Lizzy Mathis appeared on The Rich Eisen Show, where they were asked about a sport they could ace at the Olympics. They answered for each other. Alba pointed out that Lizzy Mathis used to complain a lot during workouts, which she saw as the main issue.

She mentioned that if they had met earlier in life, she could have motivated Mathis and brought out a more competitive side. When Mathis responded by joking that her success seemed to depend on Alba, Jessica added that Mathis had the physical build for it, especially with her long legs.

Meanwhile, Mathis felt Jessica Alba would win gold in breakdancing. She said:

“You could be the first gold winner of break dancing.”

However, Alba felt she resonated more with skateboarding as she grew up in a skate culture. She said she was in love with a skateboarder. Jessica Alba said:

“I think I would have been really good at skateboarding if I wasn't scared of cracking my skull open.”

Jessica Alba shared that breakdancing was tough for her because she struggled to switch between the left and right sides of her brain quickly. She admitted being slow at coordination. As a kid, she was on the swim team but was the slowest one. She also tried the low dive and back dive, but could never do them properly—her back dives always ended up looking more like backflips.
