Bre Tiesi and Nick Cannon had known each other for a very long time before she made guest appearances on Nick's Wild N' Out music video in April 2021. In January 2022, the two announced that they were expecting their first child together, and have been in an on-again off-again relationship.
Selling Sunset star Bre Tiesi has acknowledged the status of her relationship with Nick Cannon, clarifying that the two are "very much together." In a recent episode of Wednesdays podcast with Sophie Habboo, Bre, while speaking about why she chose to parent with Nick who is a father to 10 more children with different women, said,
"I'd like to be very clear. We don't co-parent, we are very much together. And that's why people are confused. Me and my partner have been on and off for years."
She also added saying,
"Basically, he has other partners, and we're just open and happy and that's our thing..People call it all kinds of s***. I call it, 'I do what I want to do."
According to a publication by Screen Rant, Nick Canon and Bre Tiesi have had an unconventional relationship that has been platonic and later romantic. They reportedly got together 10 years ago.

While talking about her and Nick Cannon's open relationship, Bre Tiesi mentioned why this kind of relationship works for her,
"I don't want a full, live-in person I'm responsible for. Like, I'm responsible for my child. I feel like this is probably - which is so crazy - the healthiest relationship I've ever had. We never fight, we never have any toxicity, we don't argue, nothing."
Tiesi also went on to call Nick the "best dad" for his involvement in their two-year-old son's life. Cannon also has other children; twins Moroccan and Monroe with ex-wife Mariah Carey and a daughter Halo Marie Cannon with Alyssa Scott, born in December 2022. His other kids include sons, Golden and Rise, daughter Powerful with Brittany Bell, twins Zion and Zillion, daughter Beautiful with Abby De La Rosa, and another daughter Onyx with LaNisha Cole.

In Selling Sunset, Bre when asked by her co-stars if Cannon's kids' mothers get along, Tiesi said, "That's a him problem, that's not my problem." She also answered questions about child support and said that she takes care of herself and her son. She also said, "I know he's a good dad. And Nick is not my sugar daddy."
