Ali Wong and Bill Hader first began dating in December 2022, as per Page Six. However, the two ended things after dating "very briefly" only to allegedly rekindle their romance in April 2023.

During an appearance on the latest episode of Sirius XM's Conan O'Brien Needs A Friend podcast, Bill Hader recalled the California Pacific Palisades that broke out on January 7. Hader mentioned that he had been filming a Volkswagen commercial with former Saturday Night Live costar Kristen Wiig when the fire broke out, and he was "speechless" after seeing his community get destroyed.

Hader mentioned that he and his girlfriend, Ali Wong, went shopping on the day the podcast was filmed, and Wong was very supportive while helping him pick a new wardrobe while his was destroyed in the fire.

"It's a funny thing that Ali and I went today to just, literally, I had to shop for clothes. And it was very sweet. She was like, 'Let's go get you some jeans."

Hader mentioned that Wong's act meant a lot to him,

"It was very sweet. It meant a lot to me. Because I'm just wearing Uniqlp sweats and my kids are like, 'You're living in your pajamas.' They're very worried. And I told her about that, and she was like, 'Well, let me take you out to get some clothes."

On January 15, while speaking to KTLA 5, the actor confirmed that his L.A. home survived the fires.

Bill Hader and Ali Wong both voiced characters in The Angry Birds Movie. After Wong split from Justin Hakuta and Bill split from Anna Kendrick in early 2022, the two, as per a Page Six report, dated "very briefly" in December 2022 before ending things.

However, the two rekindled their romance in April, 2023, when they were photographed sharing a kiss during a walk around Los Angeles. In September, 2023, the two were spotted holding hands as they grabbed smoothies at Erewhon Market in Los Angeles.

The two also attended the 2024 Golden Globes, Critics Choice Awards, and Netflix's Emmy afterparty together. In her October 2024 Netflix Special, Ali Wong revealed that Hader reached out to her when he found that she was getting divorced and said that he had a "crush" on her since forever.

The couple sparked breakup rumors after Wong attended the 2025 Golden Globes without Bill Hader. However, the actor's rep cleared the air that Hader was unable to attend the event due to a "pre-existing eye condition," and the two are still together.
