Tia Jones and Xavier Worthy, who were previously engaged, are now in the midst of a legal battle. It all began on March 7 when Jones allegedly called the police and reported a domestic violence complaint against the Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver. Per the complaints, the incident occurred at a Georgetown home where they lived together.

Jones accused her fiance of violently assaulting her and choking her, per jail records. As a result, Worthy was arrested but was released a day later. The Williamson County Sheriff's Office did not press charges against Worthy after interviewing a third-party witness. While no charges were pressed against Worthy, the county's District Attorney, Shawn Dick, confirmed that things could change if more evidence confirmed Worthy's misconduct.

According to the Austin American-Statesman, Tia Jones shared graphic details of the alleged domestic violence in the report. She claimed Xavier Worthy was the "absolute most violent" that he had ever been on the day of his arrest.

She further claimed that she was arguing with Worthy when the latter allegedly picked her up and asked her to leave. However, when they continued to argue, he reportedly grabbed her by her throat and slammed her against the ground. Unable to walk after the incident, Jones claimed that both of them left the house at night. However, the football player allegedly locked her out of the house.

The filings further claimed that once Jones entered the house again, Worthy threw her keys and wallet at her. She then called the police, which was the first time the authorities had been reported. According to the filing, Jones also accused him of hitting her in the head. When she flipped a desk in his game room, she alleged that he choked her.

A few days after Worthy's arrest, Tia Jones was granted a temporary restraining order against him.

Xavier Worthy files a lawsuit against Tia Jones

More than two weeks after his arrest, Xavier Worthy has hit Tia Jones back with a lawsuit. According to the filed suit, Worthy has claimed that the woman who accused him of domestic violence made false accusations to gain half ownership of his $2 million Georgetown house.

The lawsuit read that the woman tried to,

"Extort a home, money, cars, and other valuables from the plaintiff by concocting false stories of domestic violence and leaking the same to the press to professionally and personally assassinate plaintiff's character and reputation in the public eye for a subjective financial windfall."

In the lawsuit, Xavier Worthy also claimed that he learned about Jones' alleged affair after seeing proof provided by a private investigator. It further said that the Kansas City Chiefs player asked the woman to move out of the house several times. He even allegedly offered to help her relocate to another apartment.

Xavier Worthy further alleged in the filing that the woman also destroyed his game room, scratched his face, ripped parts of his hair, and took the key to his Rolls Royce. He also claimed that during his arrest, Tia Jones tried to gain ownership of half of the house, but when she learned she did not own it, she either stole or destroyed his property worth $150,000.

Moreover, per the lawsuit, she also took a jewelry, handgun, pair of sneakers, three bracelets, and $30,000 in cash.

Xavier Worthy is now seeking over $250,000 but less than $1 million for damages from Tia Jones.
