Former Da Band rap artist Chopper, a.k.a. Young City, is claiming that Sara Rivers had gotten intimate with their mentor, Sean “Diddy” Combs, and Freddy P.
Chopper sat down for an interview with The Art of Dialogue Podcast, to make the claims against Rivers and Freddy P., both of whom are his fellow Da Band bandmates. The allegations come on the heels of Rivers's appearance in the Peacock documentary, Diddy: The Making of A Bad Boy.
In the documentary, Rivers accused the disgraced mogul of touching her inappropriately against her will:
“I didn’t want to be around him unless there were cameras,” Rivers told the L.A. Times. “He touched me in a place that he shouldn’t have. That was inappropriate, and I felt intimidated. I’m definitely nervous. … I haven’t said anything for so long, and it’s built up.”
Everything we know about Chopper's allegations against former bandmate Sara Rivers:
According to Chopper, Sara Rivers failed to share the whole truth about her alleged tryst with Diddy, noting that the two shared a “secret romance” while working on the latter's MTV’s Making the Band 2 series. At the time, Rivers was married, with her former husband making several guest appearances on the show.
Reflecting on Sara's allegations in the documentary, Chopper said:
“I’m keep it G. It’s all respect and love for Sara, but at the end of the day, I would say I don’t think that’s true. And the reason I would say that is because at the end of the day, Diddy use to come down when we had the Making The Band penthouse, this when we already made Da Band."
He went on, noting that the two had gotten intimate on multiple occasions:
"Diddy used to come down stairs at like three or four in the morning, bruh, and tell Sara, ‘Come on,’ and she’ll get up and she’ll go with him. Then she’ll come back down four hours later, hair messy, makeup all smeared up, drunk, and looked like she got f*cked, period. And she did that three or four times. Multiple times.”
Diddy, who stands accused of molesting several individuals, women and minors included, Chopper claims that Sara Rivers was not one of them.
“I don’t think that it’s true that-that man [Diddy] violated her. I think that she was ‘ecstatic,’ she was bucked-up, and she couldn’t wait to f*ck him. And that’s just my opinion.”
He also alleged that their tryst was no secret at Bad Boy Records.
“Everybody use to talk about Sara f*ckin’ Diddy, anyway, around the Bad Boy office” he said. “So, I don’t think that’s true. No disrespect to Sara, but 100 is 100. I just don’t feel like Sara was telling the truth because I seen it with my own eyes. Diddy f*ckin on that girl, boo-coo times. She was not feeling violated or nothin’. She was happy, facts.”
During the same podcast, he claimed that Sara had flings with Freddy P as well, noting that it all stemmed from a bet that the latter had made with his groupmate. Choppers also claimed that Freddy P. loved Rivers, though he couldn't make things official as she was married at the time.
According to him, Freddy became enraged upon learning that Sara allegedly had something going on with Diddy as well:
“When Diddy start knocking her down, Fred wasn’t feelin that sh*t,” said Chopper. “He [Diddy] was knocking her down and Fred started feeling a way. So that was the end of the Fred and Sara era when Diddy started f***** her.”
Diddy formed the five-member band, Da Band, back in 2002. It was done in support of their MTV show Making The Band. The band comprised artists E. Ness, Babs, Dylan, Freddy P, Young City, and singer Sara Rivers.
