A recently resurfaced concert video featuring Sabrina Carpenter is creating controversy in social media circles. In the video, the pop star is seen talking to a 16-year-old fan while performing live during a 2023 concert.
The clip resurfaced recently, and has drawn mixed reactions, with some calling out her language and others rushing to her defense. In the video Sabrina Carpenter can be seen conversing with an audience member who said she was 16.

Starting off with relationship advice, the singer told the fan she had all the time in the world. At one point, Carpenter asked:
"How are you feeling? Would you say you're feeling quite sad? Would you say you're feeling angry? Or would you say you are, h*rny?"
Almost immediately realizing her mistake, Sabrina Carpenter hastily reacted stating that she shouldn't have said that. She then attempted to reword her question:
"Wait, I shouldn't have asked you that. You're underage. Oh my god, oh my god. Are you just, like, excited to meet other people?"
The resurfaced clip led to an intense debate online. According to Distractify, some social media users criticized the comment as inappropriate, saying celebrities should be more careful about what they say around their young fans. Others noted that Carpenter had quickly corrected herself, indicating that it was an innocent slip and not a purposeful statement.
