Royce Reed, the former partner of NBA star Dwight Howard, has recently made allegations against the latter, accusing him of physical, mental, verbal, and sexual abuse. These claims have emerged following Howard's engagement to Amy Luciani on December 20, 2024.
Royce Reed, an American dancer and TV personality, shared a 3-part video series on Instagram on December 28, explaining and alleging how Howard abused her. She provided a detailed timeline of events dating back to 2009. All of these videos can be found on an account she created called '@ihadababybysuperman.'
In the video, she can be heard saying:
"You tried to drown me in attorney fees to keep quiet?! F**K YOU! I refuse to go into 2025 carrying this weight so let’s go! Imma post the texts and emails too if you keep playing with me and calling my bluff! I know about way more than you think I do so imma leave the initials R.E. to let you know it’s ON!"
Royce Reed disses ex-partner Dwight Howard for allegedly abusing her
In this 3 part series, Royce Reed explains everything in detail from the very beginning when they first met. They started dating in 2004 when Reed was working as a dancer for the Orlando Magic, and Howard was in his rookie year. They broke up shortly after three years as she discovered Howard was cheating on her. She revealed this in her talk to YouTuber Carlos King:
“I had found out that he was cheating on me with a girl that I was on the team with. Some of my teammates knew so that caused a rift between me and some of my teammates. We’re all okay now, we just had our Heat reunion.”
She mentioned that he kept calling her after their breakup, even though she had asked him to leave her alone.
“I broke up with him. I wasn’t answering his calls. I was like, ‘Leave me alone, I hate you.'”
Later, they reunited, and she got pregnant, giving birth to Braylon in 2007. Howard initially ghosted her, and when he finally responded, he replied that he was asleep and accused her of not being on birth control. She was supposed to go for an abortion, but Howard was not present when it was time.

Dwight Howard allegedly admitted that he had been cheating on her throughout the relationship. He allegedly asked her to move away and tell the baby was not his. He had allegedly demanded a paternity test and had also gotten the team involved. Both of them got back together and tried making it work, but it only went bad for Royce as she then allegedly started experiencing mental, physical, verbal, and sexual abuse. Royce claimed that Braylon, their son, was allegedly abused under his care.
Dwight Howard has not yet addressed her latest allegations.
