Justin Bieber and Sean "Diddy" Combs' friendship has come to the forefront of the public interest in the wake of the latter's arrest. In September, Diddy was arrested on charges of s*x trafficking and racketeering, among others. Bieber, who has on many occasions referred to Diddy as his mentor and collaborator, has not commented on the latest development. People reported that he has chosen to stay away from external issues to focus on devoting time to his newborn.
According to People, a source close to Bieber said that he has "been in a happy bubble since baby Jack was born.”
"He’s aware of Diddy’s arrest and the allegations... It’s not something Justin wants to focus on, though. He just wants to focus on being a great dad and husband"

A closer look at Justin Bieber and Diddy's friendship
Justin Bieber and Diddy first got in touch when the former first stepped into the music world. Back in October 2009, Bieber took to Twitter, as it was called then, to plead with Diddy for a collaboration on his EP My World. He enlisted the help of his fans to catch the titan's eye, and his efforts came to fruition when the two of them appeared on a vlog, canvassing the Last Night rapper's garage.
Since then, the two have been known to hang out with Bieber even taking Diddy's Lamborghini out for a spin in July 2010. From then on, Justin Bieber was spotted attending several of Diddy's parties, such as the one in February 2014 in Atlanta, alongside guests like Rick Ross, Wale, and T.I.
Justin Bieber's dreams of a collab with Diddy finally came true in September 2023 with the debut of Diddy's The Love Album: Off The Grid. Bieber was featured on the track called Moments. Back then, Bieber took to X to gush over his fellow musician:
"Fast forward to a few years ago, Puff asked if I would freestyle something for his upcoming love album. Wild full circle moment, love you @diddy."
Diddy was arrested by Homeland Security in New York on September 26, following which he has been detained. The rapper has since been charged with sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation with the intent of prostitution. His homes were raided, and his lawyer, Marc Agnifilo told People:
"We are disappointed with the decision to pursue what we believe is an unjust prosecution of Mr. Combs by the U.S. Attorney’s Office. Sean 'Diddy' Combs is a music icon, self-made entrepreneur, loving family man, and proven philanthropist who has spent the last 30 years building an empire, adoring his children, and working to uplift the Black community. He is an imperfect person but he is not a criminal."
Justin Bieber announced the arrival of his son, Jack Blues Bieber, on Friday, August 23. He took to Instagram to share a snapshot of his newborn's foot, with the caption "WELCOME HOME JACK BLUES BIEBER." He shares his son with his wife, Hailey Bieber.
