On Monday, December 23, Jodie Turner-Smith made an allegation about Joshua Jackson, her former husband. In a filing in Los Angeles County Superior Court, the Acolyte actress alleged that Jackson has not paid child support since their separation last year.

In the documents filed by The Agency actress, she has requested child and spousal support payments. The request includes retroactive payments of $8,543/month in child support and $28,641/month in spousal support since October 2023. Additionally, Turner-Smith has also requested her ex-husband pay $250,000, which includes fees to her attorney and forensic accountant.
In her plea for child and spousal support, the Queen & Slim actress also said,
"(Joshua Jackson) promised to always support me and ensured me that I would not have to worry about financial security for our daughter if we ever separated because he said he understood how difficult life can be as a Black woman and a single mother."
She also added,
"Now, he is reneging on that promise and using litigation tactics and delay to pressure me into agreeing to a settlement that is neither equitable nor has any legal foundation."
