Chinedu Ani, widely known as Nedu, has revealed his decision to step down as the host of The Honest Bunch podcast.
His move comes amid mounting controversy involving him and a former friend, VeryDarkMan, who has levied allegations of being a “kiss and tell” man on social media.
In a statement, Nedu confirmed that his reason for stepping down was due to the negativity engulfing his life right now. VeryDarkMan, also known as Martins Ortse, further alleged that Nedu has asked women for s*xual favors in exchange for work. These accusations surfaced amid his ongoing feud with Deeone, who is a stand-up comedian.

The feud first began when, on a recent appearance on The Honest Bunch podcast, Deeone claimed to possess evidence that VeryDarkMan was gay. However, in retaliation, VeryDarkMan threatened to leak the names of all the celebrities Nedu had allegedly asked for favors from women in exchange for work.
As the controversy escalated, Nedu took to Instagram to issue a statement, explaining that quitting from the position was the best decision for his mental health and dignity. Read Nedu's statement below:

But with that responsibility has come an overwhelming level of scrutiny, antagonism, and unfounded accusations that have now begun to take a personal toll. In light of recent events, I have made the difficult decision to step away from the podcast. This is not a decision I take lightly, but one I believe is necessary-for my peace of mind, for my family, and for the integrity of the show itself. I have always been committed to honest conversations, but when those conversations lead to relentless attacks and misrepresentation, it becomes clear that stepping back is the best path forward."
He continued, adding that he hopes this "decision brings an end to the negativity surrounding my name and allows The Honest Bunch Podcast to continue thriving." He asserted that he remains "committed to fostering dialogue in ways that encourage meaningful engagement and growth, and I look forward to new opportunities that align with that vision."
Furthermore, he signed off on his post by wishing the show continued success and thanking all his followers and supporters.
In the wake of the news of Nedu's departure, Deeone took to social media to dismiss all of VeryDarkMan's claims. With tears in his eyes, the comedian swore that VeryDarkMani was lying and urged the Nigerian community to band together and show support for Nedu.
He also accused VeryDarkMan of being a manipulator, claiming that "he's trying to frustrate Nedu." He pleaded, "All of you should come out and support Nedu," adding, "Nedu is innocent."
