What happened to Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave? All you need to know as Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star undergoes surgery

Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave took to social media to reveal that she was hospitalized after a recent diagnosis revealed that she had multiple tumors on her brain.

The former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star disclosed that she has been suffering from intense and persistent headaches for a while, prompting her to seek immediate medical help.

"For the last several weeks I've been dealing with severe and debilitating headaches. Yesterday the pain was unbearable and required hospitalization." said the reality TV star.

She further added that:

"After a CT scan and MRI, doctors found multiple tumors on my brain, which they believe have been growing for at least 6 months. Two of the tumors will be surgically removed today - The remaining smaller tumors will be dealt with via radiation at a later date."

Teddi Mellencamp, who is now going through a divorce from husband, Edwin Arroyave, also expressed her gratitude for the unwavering love and support that she has received during this difficult period.

"I am blessed to be surrounded by my children, family, friends, doctors, nurses and surgeons who are doing everything possible to get me back into better health. Thank you to everybody who has reached out, and to everyone who has supported me along this journey." she wrote.

Last week before announcing the definite news of her diagnosis, Teddi had shared several updates on her Instagram.

"Hopefully will be on mend soon," she wrote.

She further added in a later post:

"Counting down the minutes until my babies get here. As my dad said this am, god only gives hard stuff to those of us who can handle it. It's a hard day but I have faith and amazing surgeons and know everything will be okay.

This health scare comes two years after her stage II Melanoma diagnosis. In October of 2022, the star revealed that she had surgery to remove the cancerous cells, and later in 2023 she received her 13th diagnosis. Teddi Mellencamp has been very vocal about her cancer journey, sharing her experiences on her social media and encouraging everyone to get their skin checks done at regular intervals.

In her February 12 Instagram, she showed that she was awaiting surgery with her close friends, and family including her now ex-husband in attendance. The RHOBH star appeared to be in good spirits, as shared that she had shaved her head in preparation for the surgery.

"I didn't have this look on my bucket list," Teddi joked her her head was shaved.

Reality TV star Teddi Mellencamp is the daughter of American singer John Mellencamp. She was one of the fan favorites on the hit show The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, where she starred between 2017 -2020, before being fired.

She now hosts a podcast, called Two Ts in a Pod, with fellow reality TV star, Tamara Judge and uses her platform to spread awareness about the importance of early intervention in cancer diagnosis.

After the news of her diagnosis became public fans and several of her fellow TV stars came forward to show their support.
