Park Min Jae, a rising K-drama star, died on December 2. His agency, Big Title, and K-media outlets broke the news. The agency took to social media to pen:

"Park Min Jae, a talented actor who loved acting and always gave his best, has departed for heavenWe are deeply grateful for all the love and support you've shown Park Min Jae. Although we can no longer see him perform, we will proudly remember him as an actor of Big Title. May he rest in peace.”

Reportedly, the South Korean actor succumbed to a cardiac arrest on November 29 in China. Min Jae was popular for his work on Little Women and Mr. Lee.


Tributes pour in for Park Min Jae as his death leaves the world in shock

Park Min Jae's younger brother took to Instagram to confirm his passing:

"My beloved brother has gone to rest. I hope as many people as possible can remember my brother. Please understand that I cannot contact everyone individually."

The chief executive of Big Title, Hwang Joo-hye, also penned a tribute:

"The guy who said he would conquer China and go on a month-long trip has gone on a much longer journey. It was so sudden and so shocking... The family must be feeling unimaginable sorrow... Min Jae, there’s still so much we wanted to say and do together. I was grateful to have been your representative, even if only for a short time, and I’m deeply sorry. I will never forget the name, Actor Park Min Jae.”

Just before his passing, Min Jae worked in several K-dramas, including Tomorrow, The Korea-Khitan War, and Bo-ra! Deborah. While he had yet to become a household name, he undoubtedly stood out as a popular actor.

The actor's unexpected demise has sent waves of shock and grief rippling through the industry, and X has been flooded with tributes and heartfelt letters honoring him.

"Thank you very much for all the series you filmed. Rest in peace," one user penned. Another echoed the sentiments, sending their thoughts and prayers to his family.

In the late actor's honor, a wake will be held in Room 9 of the Seoul National University Hospital Funeral Hall. The funeral is scheduled for December 4 at 9:30 a.m. (local time). Details about the burial site remain scarce.
