reflecting to the following weeks when he was in coma.
When Django Unchained’s star, Deidra Dixon took him to Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta for further checkup, it was discovered that he had suffered a brain bleed that led to a stroke. However, the exact cause was not determined, as per a report in People Magazine.
"It is a mystery," Foxx said. "We still don't know exactly what happened to me. All I can tell you is that I appreciate every prayer because I needed every prayer."
He emerged from the coma in May 2023. He said he could no longer walk or talk properly, but he didn’t let go of his sense of humour during his recovery period. He emphasized the importance of laughter in his healing process, and stated

For the unversed, Foxx will be appearing in an upcoming action film titled, Back in Action alongside Cameron Diaz. The film is scheduled to be released on January 17, 2025.
