Actress Grace Van Dien was recently involved in a tussle with FaZe Clan members. She joined the gaming organization in May 2023 but had a fallout with one of the founding members, Nordan FaZe Rain, and a few others. Though they agreed upon a truce, their feud reignited when they met in person, ultimately forcing Van Dien to leave the group.

On December 7, 2024, she shared an X post calling out some clan members, alleging they stared at her during the Streamer Awards 2024 event. She shared a post on December 7, 2024, where she claimed,

“Faze guys are so brave online but just stared and whispered whenever they saw me last night. Micro energy.”

Grace Van Dien’s post ignited reactions from social media users. One of the members, Richard FaZe Banks responded with harsh insults, mocking her and her partner while dismissing Grace Van Dien’s attempts to associate with FaZe.

He accused her of trying to force her way into the group and claimed she was still upset about being rejected, emphasizing that no one in the group wanted or cared about her. The actress’s X account no longer existed when writing the story, and neither did her posts.

Another FaZe Clan streamer FaZe Ronaldo mocked her in a style similar to how Faze Kysan texted YouTuber Pokimane to ask her out for dinner. The actress shared several other X posts, in one of which she called the Clan members incels and described the constant back and forth of criticisms as rage bait.

The backstory behind FaZe Clan and Grace Van Dien's conflict

It goes back to May 21, 2023, when Nordan unofficially announced that Grace Van Dien would join the organization while responding to the suggestion of adding more female members on X. However, some of the FaZe Clan members thought that the unofficial announcement was disrespectful.

Nordan clarified that his post was directed towards the gaming community. Calling it a political move, he said having female members was only to get more sponsorships as he felt it wasn’t the right step.

Grace Van Dien criticized Nordan for his comments implying that he didn’t get to have an opinion about her joining since he wasn’t present at the meeting where she was signed into FaZe Clan. Nordan responded to Grace's comments during her livestream with sharp criticism and sarcasm.

He mocked her gaming skills, her brief appearance in Stranger Things, and her association with Twitch, while also disparaging her understanding of trick shots and her personality. Rain further highlighted his early success in the industry, contrasting it with what he perceived as her lack of contribution or relevance.

Nordan also criticized the decision-making behind Grace Van Dien's signing to FaZe Clan, blaming corporate executives who were disconnected from the community. He expressed frustration over what he described as decisions made by out-of-touch individuals prioritizing political or business deals over the interests of FaZe fans.
