Rapper G Herbo has been hospitalized after suffering a severe case of the flu. Herbo's health update comes after he recently released an expanded version of his app-exclusive Greatest Rapper Alive project.

Herbo posted an Instagram story of him lying in a hospital bed and warned fans to be careful of a new strain of flu:

Y'ALL BE SAFE OUT HERE THIS NEW FLU STRAND AINT NO JOKE"

While Herbo did not mention details of the flu, the symptoms, or what led to his hospitalization, it has been a rough flu season in the United States. As per U.S Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, while the flu season had a relatively late start, it was classified as "high severity." Around 2298 children, most of whom were unvaccinated, have died from flu this season, and there's been an increase in neurological complications, including seizures, hallucinations, and other symptoms.

The season typically lasts from October through April in the Northern Hemisphere and peaks between December and February.

More about G Herbo's new project

G Herbo released his new project, Greatest Rapper Alive, on April 4. The rapper released the 20-track project through his exclusive app and other streaming services, and it comes months after he released Welcome to Fazoland (Anniversary Edition).

The rapper's app is available to download for free on the App Store and Google Play. All of G Herbo's music is available on this app, including merch, videos, and more. The rapper partnered with MySeat Media to launch the app.

G Herbo has been putting a lot of time into his career, despite mourning the death of his father, who passed away in November 2024. During a recent appearance alongside his son, Yosohn, on a livestream with Kai Cenat, the rapper opened up about how he's dealing with the loss and said,

"There's always light at the end of the tunnel. You know me personally, I've ben through a lot. I always overcome adversity. Trial, tribulations - there's always triumph at the end. You gotta get up, work hard to be better than you were yesterday."

He also added,

"I just lost my pops two weeks ago, two-and-a-half weeks ago. I still find a reason to get up and smile, to get up and work, to provide for my family, to be there for my children."

The rapper is currently touring across two countries with upcoming concerts scheduled in London, Boston, New Jersey, and Illinois.
