Drake is seemingly addressing his rap beef with Joe Budden and people wishing ill on him in his latest diss track, Gimme A Hug.

The two have been feuding since 2016, making it almost a decade, and in the wake of the release of Drake's latest diss track, fans are taking a closer look at his beef with Joe Budden. In his track, he spat out what looks like a dig at the latter:

"Melyssa Ford, you a legend from The 6 hate to see you with a d**k sucker. They be dropping sh*t but we dropping harder sh*t, f**k all the rap beef I'm trying to get the party lit."

The feud can be traced back to April 2016, when Budden referred to the 6 God rapper's fourth album, Views, as uninspired. As reported by Capital Xtra, he said at the time on his podcast I'll Name This Podcast Later:

"That kid on that album that I heard sounds real f*ckin’ uninspired. That’s what I think. I think that that music is real good. You can’t fool a real n*gga. That music sounds good and I enjoyed it 40, you sound amazing. 40 continues to progress. Drake, you do not."

Joe Budden and Drake's contentious rivalry explored:

As reported by the outlet, the rapper decided to push back on the criticism via a Snapchat video, where he could be heard rapping the line "pump, pump it up," which seemed like a reference to Joe Budden's 2003 track, Pump It Up.

Not long after, Drake dropped 4PM In Calabasas, which mentioned Budden's ex-girlfriend Tahiry. Here's how Budden responded on X, in turn, as reported by the outlet:

"He snapped just now, even if he dissed me & Puff the whole time….. He ain’t sound that inspired in a minute."

Budden himself shot back with a rap when he made Making A Murderer Pt. 1. One of his bars goes as follows:

"My words ain’t ghostwritten I ain’t Drake/ That’s all gimmick I’m authentic I ain’t Drake/ Ain’t nothing wrong with it, only saying I ain’t fake". He then warned Drizzy: "Aubrey when you sub real MCs, you get murdered."

Over the years, the two have taken several public and covert jabs at each other, and in the most recent news, Budden referred to Drake as "crazy." It all started when a slow-motion video of Budden departing a vehicle while smoking began circulating on Drake's finsta, @plottttwistttttt.

An unhappy Joe Budden took to the latest episode of his podcast to diss the Canadian rapper once more:

“Hey, Drake, don’t shoot at me mad that you ice cold,” Budden said. “I’m not doing a back-and-forth with a corpse. I wanted to do it when it was fun. Don’t go get shot all through the year and then pop up like Bernie at Weekend at Bernie’swanting to shoot at me now. No, n***a. Go spin. Spin the fucking block. … Are you crazy?”

He went on:

“I just seen that sh*t,” he said, as heard below. “99 n***as done jumped on your ass. You out smoking hookah in turquoise boots. Don’t post me. Go get your f*cking lick back.”

As for what he feels about the feud between Drake and Kendrick Lamar, Joe Budden said:

“That n***a dead as could be. He’s dead as a doornail. It’s dead. Everybody left. I left. It’s just you and Ak now. You, Ak, and Adin.”

Just this January, Budden referred to Drake as a "Karen" for suing his record label UMG.
