What happened with Drake Bell and Justin Bieber? Nickelodeon star recalls 2014 feud with singer to former co-star Josh Peck

Nickelodeon's Drake & Josh star Drake Bell, in a recent appearance on Josh Peck's podcast Good Guys, looked back at his 2014 alleged feud with Justin Bieber. When Peck asked if Bell and Bieber were cool, Bell revealed that he only met the singer once. The feud started when Bell retweeted an AI picture of Bieber, and Bieber's fans took to social media to attack him.

"Someone had tweeted a picture of him AI'ed with makeup and it looked really real. I kind of retweeted it and I didn't know about the Beliebers. And all of a sudden it was like 'Kill yourself, die. Everything you've ever made is trash. Drake & Josh is trash.'"

He then looked back at the incident and laughed, saying,

"Sometimes I can't keep my thumbs to myself... I've never had a problem with Justin Bieber. He's a great artist... In my mind, Justin Bieber is, you know, he's on an island with Selena Gomez buying gold. I see him as untouchable - the hell would he see a tweet from me? Like Justin Bieber saw a tweet from me and cared."

After his tweet went viral, Bell ran into Bieber's ex-manager Scooter Braun at Bootsy Bellows, and Braun asked him if it was really his Twitter account or if it was somebody else. When Bell asked if he saw his tweet, Braun confirmed and noted that Bieber saw it too and was "bummed" since "Drake & Josh was like his favorite show growing up."

Bell also mentioned that he ran into Bieber a few years later, but it was a "bummer" since they probably would have gotten along.

As per Bell's tweets from a decade ago, he took some shots at the singer where he allegedly criticized his music, and joked about him "making a mistake after a mistake after a mistake."

More about Justin Bieber and Drake Bell's alleged feud

During Drake's event at Mixology at The Grove in April 2014, Drake Bell, in an interview with Fox 11 News, said,

"I don't think there is anything going on between us. I think I've joined with most celebrities and have said a couple of opinions on there [X]. I don't think the Beliebers have liked it very much."

It was speculated that Bieber crashed Drake Bell's album release party at the time, which Bell clarified in the interview, saying it never happened since the event was strictly 21+.

Bieber, at the time, posted a photo of Drake Bell looking at the crowd with the caption,

"Why is @JustinBieber sprinter van getting more attention than my album release party."

To which Drake Bell responded in a tweet saying,

"Dude! Thank you for coming to my party I didn't know you were down stairs sorry they didn't let you in!! Should have hmu!!"
