Sean "Diddy" Combs is currently facing a long and hard-fought court battle as he pleaded not guilty to allegations of forced labor. His former bodyguard, Gene Deal, who has previously made revelations about the extravagant parties hosted by Diddy, has now opened up regarding another case from twenty-five years back.

50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, was shot nine times back in 2000 when he was leaving his grandmother's house in Queens, New York. The then 25-year-old rapper suffered multiple gunshot wounds, with his legs deliberately broken in several places.

In a recent interview with The Art of Dialogue, Gene Deal shared his perspective of the assassination attempt, revealing he was in Mexico on the day of the attempted murder. The former bodyguard also shared his theories on who might have been behind the attack.

"I don't know who was behind it, bruh. I know that Irv Gotti and them had put it out there like they was a part of it and they was going to do it that night, the day at the meeting, from their conversations and how they was acting. They had to have something to do with it. And then come to find out that the dudes who did it was working for Murder, Inc." said Deal.

Following the assassination attempt on the rapper's life, an FBI investigation confirmed that the murder plot was led by "Supreme" McGriff, one of the most notorious drug dealers in the area. The attack was allegedly orchestrated after 50 Cent mentioned McGriff's illegal dealings in his song "Ghetto Koran."

The latest developments in the case against Sean "Diddy" Combs

During the pretrial hearing on 16 March, Diddy pleaded not guilty to new indictment charges. In the new charges, he is being accused of coercing former employees to take part in his racketeering and trafficking activities within his network.

Apart from this, the "I'll be Missing You" singer has also pleaded not guilty to charges of racketeering conspiracy, s*x trafficking, and transportation of people for prostitution. Since his arrest in September, he has been held without bail at the Metropolitan Detention Center.

The new indictment details the toxic and life-threatening environment in which former employees were forced to work.

"On multiple occasions, Combs threw both objects and people, as well as hit, dragged, choked and shoved others... On one occasion, Combs dangled a victim over an apartment balcony."

Diddy's lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, has stated to CNN that all the charges were false and argued that many employees are prepared to stand by Diddy and testify to his character.

"Many former employees stand by his side, prepared to attest to the dedication, hard work, and inspiration they experienced while helping build groundbreaking, award-winning businesses."

The case is set to go on trial on 12 May, with jury selection scheduled for 5 May.
