The official teaser of the upcoming The Fantastic Four: First Steps was dropped by Marvel Entertainment, and it has sparked intrigue amongst the audience for many reasons, one of them being the curiosity about the motive of Galactus in this installment of the Fantastic Four film series.

Director Matt Shakman, in The Fantastic Four: First Steps, creates a retro-inspired futuristic world, where the family of Fantastic Four are on a mission to safeguard Earth together from the evil forces of Galactus and Shalla-Bal a.k.a Silver Surfer, at all costs, as Galactus is aiming to consume the planet Earth.

Sue Storm's line in the teaser speaks volumes about strength and oneness, as she utters-

"Whatever life throws at us, we'll face it together...as a family".

According to The Cosmic Circus, the motive of Galactus in The Fantastic Four: First Steps is revealed, apart from his aim to consume Earth. Reportedly, in this film, we could see Galactus's super objective to be about Franklin, the son of Reed and Super Sue, yearning for him to reconstruct his old universe.

In the teaser, we get to see an intimidating and enigmatic sneak peek of Galactus, with a shot of an aerial view of New York City and a silhouette of the massive figure falling over the city at first, which is enough of a tease for the audience, as well as in setting the tone of the grim character.

Then we witness Galactus's back profile with the foreground of the city as if he is watching the city, but this time his size changes to becoming more compact. According to reports, this showcases Galactus's ability to modify his size.

The origins of Galactus trace back to the time when he was a human named Galan from the Sixth Cosmos, but the universe where he lived was demolished. With the aid of the Sentience of the Sixth Cosmos, Galan transformed into the omnipotent Galactus. The Galactus needs to consume planets to survive. He comes with a herald named Shalla-Bal a.k.a. Silver Surfer.
