Rapper Cardi B has revealed the name she used while working as a stripper during her initial years. The rapper turned 32 on October 11, 2024 and hosted a "Sex in the City" - themed party in New York City. Her sister, Hennessy Carolina Almánza, and a large group of her friends attended the event.

She took to her Instagram on October 14, 2024 to share her stripper moniker 'Camilla.' The name was also connected to the outfit she wore during her birthday celebration. Sharing details about her past, she wrote,
“So let me tell ya about my little thotty dress.. the dress I was gonna wear for my birthday was a little too small and there wasn’t enough fabric… so I got my a*s in a truck and went to Staten dolls gentlemen’s club where I worked at for four years and bought this little dress because baby NOTHING was gonna stop this night…”
The post continued:
“I love the fact that they don’t see me like CARDI B.. they still treat me like CAMILLA (Fun fact.. that was my stripper name.)”
Cardi B shared the news of her third child's birth on September 12, 2024. The announcement followed just over a month after she had filed for divorce from her husband Offset, ending their nearly seven-year marriage. In the filing, Cardi sought primary custody of their three children and requested child support from Offset.
Their relationship had been tumultuous, with various ups and downs, including recent accusations from Offset that Cardi had been unfaithful during her pregnancy.
Cardi B had a history of drugging and robbing men
In 2019, Cardi B addressed criticism after an old video resurfaced in which she admitted to drugging and robbing men during her time as a stripper before rising to fame.
She explained that while her actions might have been questionable, they were necessary for her survival at the time. She emphasized that she had never claimed to be flawless or to have come from an ideal background.
Cardi B expressed that she had worked hard for everything she achieved and revealed that during her time as a stripper, she would lure men to a hotel, and then drug and rob them.
Following the backlash after the video resurfaced, she addressed the controversy on Instagram, explaining that she was discussing actions from her past that she believed were necessary for survival at the time, whether right or wrong.
She acknowledged that hip-hop culture often involved sharing personal stories, including difficult or questionable choices made along the way. Cardi B also noted that many rappers glorify violence, drugs, and crime, but emphasized that she never took pride in her past actions and deliberately kept them out of her music.
The rapper further clarified that the men she mentioned in the video were individuals she had been romantically involved with, and they were fully aware of what was happening.
