The name of Ashley St. Clair’s September 2024-born son has finally been revealed. As per a report by The Wall Street Journal, the baby boy is called Romulus.
This news comes in the wake of the paternity test that confirmed that Elon Musk, the world’s richest man, is the father of the child. According to the results of the paternity test, the probability of Musk being the biological father of the child was confirmed to be 99.9999%, reported The Wall Street Journal.

The New York Supreme Court ordered Musk to take the paternity test, and the results finally arrived on Friday last week, as per the same report.
Conservative influencer Ashley St. Clair and Musk have been engaged in a long, drawn-out court battle over the issue of the child’s paternity and child support allowances ever since the baby was born.
The feud has earned enormous media attention. The 26-year-old mother of the child herself spoke out on the issue of media scrutiny and privacy when she shared a post on social media back in February 2025. The post was also the first time that Ashley St. Clair publicly claimed that she was the mother of Tesla CEO Elon Musk’s newborn child. The post read:
“Five months ago, I welcomed a new baby into the world. Elon Musk is the father. I have not previously disclosed this to protect our child's privacy and safety, but in recent days it has become clear that tabloid media intends to do so, regardless of the harm it will cause…I intend to allow our child to grow in a normal and safe environment. For that reason I ask that the media honor our child’s privacy, and refrain from invasive reporting.”
Disagreements between Elon Musk and Ashley St. Clair over child support payments
Elon Musk has fathered several children with different women, as per Vanity Fair. Despite being the center of global attention, the billionaire has always intended to keep his personal life private.
As per the report by The Wall Street Journal, nondisclosure clauses are a part of the financial agreements that Musk reaches with the mothers of his children. The news outlet reported that upon the birth of Romulus, Ashley St. Clair was offered a one-time lump sum payment of $15 million and an additional $100,000 a month for the next 21 years of the baby’s life in return for keeping the father's identity private.
However, Ashley St. Clair opened up to the news publication and revealed that she had doubts about entering into such an agreement with Musk as it would make the child “feel illegitimate,” apart from the fact that she also had misgivings about her child’s future in case Musk died before he would turn 21. According to St. Clair, the agreement had no clause to address such an issue.
Ashley St. Clair and Musk’s disagreements reached the court when St. Clair filed to get sole legal custody of her son, alongside a paternity petition. People Magazine reported that the court documents revealed that St. Clair and Musk became romantically involved around May 2023, and that Romulus, who was then referred to by his initials, R.S.C., was conceived in January 2024.
In March 2025, when the paternity of the child was still in question, St. Clair was seen selling her Tesla car in a video by Daily Mail, telling reporters that she was forced to make adjustments to compensate for the child support payments that Musk had considerably slashed.
The Wall Street Journal notes that Musk had already done away with the offer of the lump payment, and progressively lowered the monthly child support payments, first to $40,000 and then to $20,000 in an effort that St. Clair’s attorney called a ‘weaponization’ of money.
Now that Elon Musk’s paternity of his and Ashley St. Clair has been proved, it remains to be seen what course the legal dispute between the parents takes.
