Amy Schumer recently took to her Instagram handle to share her experience with Midi Health. The 43-year-old actress-comedian also spoke about the positive impact Mounjaro had on her.

It is not the first time Amy Schumer has used an anti-diabetic medication, as she has previously admitted to having relied on Ozempic. The drug has garnered attention across the world and has often sparked controversy due to its off-label use for weight loss. Amy Schumer opened up about her Ozempic use on The Howard Stern Show in February.

She told the host about using the medication three years back and not having an ideal experience. The Snatched actress recounted:

“I have this gene, GDF15, which makes you extremely prone to nausea, which is why I was so sick during my pregnancy. So, I tried Ozempic almost three years ago, and I was, like, bedridden, I was, like, vomiting, like… And then you have no energy, but other people take it. And they are all good. So, God bless them.”

Schumer did confess about losing weight and getting in “great” shape after using Ozempic but stopped taking it due to heavy downsides. The I Feel Pretty star recalled:

“My son’s like, ‘Can you, like, play tag’ and I’m like, ‘I can.’ I was like shriveling. [chuckles] I lost 30 pounds so quick, I looked great and I couldn’t even lift my head off the pillow. So, what’s the point?”

Besides Ozempic, Schumer recently mentioned using Wegovy, another weight loss medicine. She shared in a recent video:

“Years ago I tried… Three years ago I tried Wegovy and I was, like, puking. I couldn't handle it. I don't know if they have changed the formula or whatever.”

For the uninitiated, Wegovy is also a prescription drug like Ozempic and Mounjaro.

Amy Schumer reflects upon her “good experience” of using Mounjaro

The Kinda Pregnant actress didn't have the best of experience using Wegovy or Ozempic, but she seemingly got better results after switching to another medication. Amy opened up about using Mounjaro, a prescription-based drug for type 2 diabetes treatment and weight loss. The stand-up comedian admitted how Mounjaro has been “great.” She said:

“Mounjaro's been great. And look, it’s not covered by insurance unless you have diabetes or, like, severe obesity, which most of the internet thinks I have. But I'm having a really good experience, so I wanted to keep it real with you about that.”

In the clip, Amy also talks about having a telehealth meeting with Midi Health, a “virtual care clinic for women in midlife.” She spoke about getting prescribed estrogen and progesterone as she had perimenopause symptoms. Amy Schumer added:

“My symptoms of being in perimenopause have disappeared. My hair is fuller, my skin is better, I have more energy. I want to get down more, if you know what I mean – I'm talking about s**.”

Amy Schumer has been open about her use of weight loss medication and has previously called out other celebrities for not being honest. During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen in 2023, Schumer slammed certain personalities for hiding about using Ozempic or Wegovy and asked them to “be real with people.”
