Sarunas Jackson made the news in late 2023 because of his former co-star and mother of his child Dominique Perry, who had published a statement accusing him of abuse. The allegations came amid the ongoing controversy involving the star’s brother, Darius Jackson, who was accused of domestic violence by actress Keke Palmer.
Along with Perry's claims, another woman named Tesha has recently stepped forward with accusations against Jackson. Tesha says she had a short, unromantic relationship with him, leading to an unintended pregnancy.
According to a post by Its Only Entertainment, she said Sarunas Jackson pressured her to have an abortion, then ghosted her when she initially wouldn’t. She also claimed that when he re-emerged after weeks of no contact, he asked her to help him hide the pregnancy from his then-girlfriend.
To substantiate her claims, Tesha shared screenshots and voice notes, only complicating matters further. On the other hand, Jackson has yet to respond to these allegations publicly.
Dominique Perry, who played Tasha in the first season of Insecure, and Sarunas Jackson met on the HBO show’s set, reportedly sometime in 2016 or 2017. Although they were on the same show together, they never shared any scenes.
Perry said she and the actor did not start dating until after she was no longer on the show. Perry announced her pregnancy on social media in 2018 with their daughter, Zen Jackson. She didn’t initially reveal who the father of the child was, but according to Distractify, it became clear when both she and Jackson shared similar images of their newborn daughter on social media.

In September 2023, Perry filed a petition to establish custody rights over their daughter. In her filing, she alleged that she was Zen’s primary caregiver and stated that Sarunas Jackson’s involvement in their child’s life had been less.
Dominique Perry also accused him of showing “emotional volatility and intimidation” to her and their daughter. In a November 2023 court filing, she wrote that Jackson had mentally and physically abused her over the years.

She said that during an argument in March 2020, Jackson got angry, called her names, and then choked her, and he only stopped when their daughter started crying. She also pointed to another incident in which Jackson was reported to have fought with his own mother, arguing he had a pattern of violence against women.
Sarunas Jackson denied Perry’s allegations in a legal response, saying he and his family had always welcomed Perry with open arms. He also accused her of misrepresenting his role in their daughter’s life.
