Trisha Paytas, the famous American media personality, is making headlines amidst Pope Francis’ death. Pope Francis, who was the first Latin American Pope and an influential figure to the world, died on 21 April 2025, at the age of 88, after a long struggle with respiratory problems.

On March 7, 2025, Paytas had posted on Instagram announcing her third pregnancy. Fast forward to 21 April, 2025, she posted pictures of her family celebrating Easter. Since then, fans and internet users have linked Pope’s death to her unborn baby.

Several comments on her post quipped and remarked that her unborn baby could be the reincarnation or second coming of Pope Francis. One fan even went as far as to write:

Paytas was seen trending on X thanks to this. Fans and X users were also pointing to the connections between the two instances.

Cardinal Kevin Farrell confirmed the Pope’s death early Monday morning. According to reports, his last public appearance came on Easter Sunday, when he delivered a blessing to the thousands gathered in St. Peter’s Square.

It’s not the first time Trisha has been at the center of an unusually timed cultural moment. Her daughter Malibu Barbie was born in 2022, the same day that Queen Elizabeth II died, leading fans to make several satirical memes and theories.

Since the mid-2000s, Trisha Paytas has been one of the main personalities in the online entertainment Industry, as a popular American content creator, author, and entrepreneur.

According to Boch Center, she was one of the first influencers to achieve mega-stardom on YouTube and helped establish the creator landscape. She has amassed a fan base exceeding 20 million followers across platforms.

Her videos ranged from lifestyle vlogs to ASMR and cosplay content. Trisha has more than 50 TV shows and films under her belt as well, with appearances on Modern Family, America’s Got Talent, and Celebrity Big Brother. Her podcast, Just Trish, was a huge success and hit its first 50 million streams in just eight months.

Apart from her success, Paytas has been grappling with serious mental health issues. She has been honest about feeling like an outsider from an early age and dealing with undiagnosed mental health problems

Years later, she got several different, conflicting diagnoses, including bipolar disorder and schizophrenia, and she was eventually diagnosed with borderline personality disorder (BPD).
