Love may be in the air for Tennis star Ben Shelton and Dennis Rodman's daughter, women's soccer star, Trinity.
Just this Friday, March 7, Trinity took to social media to share a video of herself, with Glorilla and Jorjiana’s track, ILBB2, playing over it. The lines playing in the clip are:
“They say shooters shoot Duke Dennis whats up with you.”
However, as Dennis' name is playing, the caption “_ _ _ wassup w you,” can be seen over the video, with Trinity smiling ear to ear. In turn, Shelton took to TikTok to upload a video of himself listening to the same lines from the song, though his text read: "T****** wsp wit u.”
Ben Shelton and Trinity's alleged budding romance explored:
It wasn't long before TikTokers began speculating about a budding romance between the two, seeing that the blanks in their captions corresponded to the number of letters in their names.
As reported by People Magazine, Trinity was previously linked to Trinity Benson, a professional football player. They confirmed their romance on Instagram in May 2024, though it seems they have since broken up.
Shelton is currently playing in Indian Wells for this year's BNP Paribas Open and is the tournament's 11th seed. He is slated to begin his campaign in the second round today, March 8. His training sessions have already commenced at the Masters 1000 event, as he was spotted on the court with Jack Draper.
Ben Shelton, who currently ranks World No. 12, bagged a bye in the first round of the tournament and is now scheduled to go against Mariano Navone in the second round. This will be their second showdown on tour. They first went head-to-head in Tokyo last year, with Shelton being named the winner.
In 2023, he was named the youngest US Open American men’s semi-finalist since Michael Chang in 1992. He is the son of Bryan and Lisa Shelton, who are former Tennis players. As for Trinity, her father is a former NBA legend.
Just this past December, she sat down for an interview with Call Her Daddy podcast, where she reflected on her tumultuous relationship with her dad:
"We tried to live with him [Dennis], but he’s having parties 24/7,” Trinity said of living with mom, Michelle Moyer, and brother DJ. “He’s bringing random b*tches in. My mom didn’t want — she was strong enough to deal with it because even to this day, I still believe that my dad hasn’t loved anyone after my mom,” she added.
However, she did assert that while their relationship might not be the best, she will always be a call away if he needs her:
"If something does happen, God forbid, I want to know that I did that. Or if he needed to hear my voice before anything happens,” she said. “That’s why I answer the phone, not for me.”
