Ralph Fiennes might have lost out on winning the Best Actor Oscar, but he still surprised his fans after the award ceremony. The Conclave star was seen arm-in-arm with actress-comedian Chelsea Handler, leaving the Vanity Fair Oscar Party.

With their current relationship status being unknown, the Skyfall actor and the Chelsea Lately host have sparked dating speculations. Handler has reportedly never been married, but Fiennes had tied the knot with the English actress Alex Kingston in the ‘90s. They were together for four years but officially divorced in 1997.

Ralph Fiennes and Alex Kingston at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art as students. Their relationship commenced in the ’80s, and they married almost a decade later, in 1993. Barely two years later, the Voldemort actor joined the cast of Broadway’s Hamlet play as the titular character, which also featured Francesca Annis.

The affair between Fiennes and his co-star led to his divorce in 1997. After parting ways with Kingston, The King's Man actor continued his relationship with Annis, which lasted 11 years. The former couple had an almost 18-year age gap, which the actress addressed in a 2005 interview.

“Ralph and I have been together 10 years now so, whatever happens, we have had a very good, different relationship.”

In 2006, an official statement from the actress’ rep confirmed their separation, but they seemingly remained friends. Per a Daily Mail report from 2023, the former lovers were spotted together catching up in Rome, Italy.

The speculations around The Invisible Woman director-actor and the Chelsea Does star dating each other also made their way to social media.

Previously, the comedian and the actor interacted with one another during a scripted bit for the 30th Critics' Choice Awards. Chelsea, who was hosting the ceremony, had her Babygirl moment when she gulped down a glassful of milk, standing next to Fiennes. The anchor said,

“Babygirl was one of my favorite movies this year because I love everything Nicole Kidman does and it even inspired me to hire a new s**y intern. Oh, this must be from him, thank you. [grabbing the glass from someone off-camera]”

As she drank the milk, the 62-year-old actor joined in by saying,

“Good girl. Good girl. Good girl. Keep going. Don’t stop. Go on.”

Apart from sharing a great chemistry with the actor during the bit, Handler had also praised Ralph in a comedic way at the event. She said on stage,

“You've played a ruthless n*zi, evil Lord Voldemort, and now a celibate Cardinal. And somehow, made me want to have s** with you in all three roles. You have made… I’m not alone [pointing at the crowd]. You have made some truly, uns**xy people very s**y, so I’m begging you, please, never play Vladimir Putin. I can’t do that again.”

Chelsea Handler, who recently turned 50, was previously reported to be dating Jo Koy, but the comedian couple broke up in 2022. There is little to no information about the stand-up comic’s current relationship status.
