Rappers Sean Diddy Combs and King Los have had a good bond throughout their careers. He shared with TMZ that while he hadn't spoken to Combs since his incarceration, he remained concerned but not worried about the situation.

King Los began his rapping career in the 1990s and spent the last two decades as Diddy's primary ghostwriter, as per Hotnewhiphop. In 2015, he reportedly revealed that he wrote verses for Combs, specifically the Same Damn Time remix verse.

Los also addressed the internet backlash and memes about the hip-hop mogul, especially regarding the baby oil jokes, saying that while the internet could not be controlled, jokes sometimes lighten tough situations, though they could also be harmful. He explained that he felt too close to the situation to make any judgments.

During the TMZ interview, Los mentioned his plan to rap about his experiences with Diddy. However, he provided no specific details, hinting that he would creatively share what he had witnessed. It is noteworthy that King Los' association with Diddy had negatively impacted his public image.

After the video of Combs attacking Cassie surfaced online, King Los was seen alongside him and continued to show support in the months following. As a result, he faced backlash from fans on social media.

Though he did not directly comment on the charges against Diddy, Los once referred to him as his mogul during a 2014 interview with MTV, affirming his loyalty to Diddy's family despite pursuing other ventures.

King Los said Diddy was critical of his music

In a 2014 interview with AllHipHopTV, King Los was asked how working for the Bad Boy Records founder affected his music. He said Diddy would be tough for anybody in the music world and not just him. Los revealed that the hip-hop mogul helped him sonically capture people's ears through his songs. King Los added,

“I wouldn’t feel like Bad Boy had any effect on the way I make music. If anything, Puff kind of had an effect on the way I make music because he is very critical and it just made me want to step up my game up and like it’s not that easy to play a record for him and he would be like thoroughly impressed so you know, it’s a gamble any time you play a record for him, you might be totally in love with the record.”

In 2002, King Los auditioned for Diddy’s Making the Band and got selected. However, he turned down the contract because he did not want to be in the band. His only motivation for the audition was to meet Combs, as he wanted the opportunity to show the hip-hop mogul that he had the skills.

Los then received a call from Combs, who questioned why he was turning down a major opportunity. Diddy had structured the storyline around Los but declined, feeling it wasn’t the right fit for him then. Years later, Los ended up signing a solo deal with Combs. Reflecting on the experience, Los saw it as a validation of his self-confidence and a confirmation that he was following the right path.
