Rapper Aubrey Drake Graham appears to be active on his secondary Instagram account “@plottttwistttttt.” On February 12, 2025, he posted a photo of Sofia Richie, daughter-in-law of Universal Music Group’s CEO Lucian Grainge. As seen in the photo, Sophia wore a black dress with Drake’s OVO record label’s “owl” logo.
For context, the Canadian rapper is in a legal tussle with UMG as he sued the company on the grounds of promoting Kendrick Lamar’s diss track Not Like Us. The rapper’s alternative Instagram account also had a video of broadcaster and rapper Joe Budden where he was seen getting out of a car with smoke in hand.
The Instagram account had a major influx of posts recently and journalist and television presenter Elliott Wilson seemingly addressed the issue when he shared an X post on February 12, 2025, writing:
“Turn his finsta off.”
Social media users had mixed reactions to his post as many criticized the recent events while others joked about them. Reacting to Wilson’s X post, one person wrote:
“Turn your account off.”
Social media users pointed out the bizarreness of having a finsta account at an older age.
“Having a finsta at 38 is insane Elliott, we had those in middle-high school,” a person opined.
“30 years of journalism just for the so called goat to wake up thinking about one man.. cold game out here,” a social media user commented.
Netizens shared mixed feelings while others urged Wilson not to be mindful of Graham’s every move.
“Crazy, scary, spooky, hilarious,” a netizen wrote.
“lol bro do yall realize how obsessed w Drake yall look? dude presence is bothering yall too much. u just gotta ask yourself why,” an online commentator mentioned.
“Stop watching his every move,” another X user remarked.
Joe Budden responded to Drake following the Instagram post
Graham and Joe Budden have not been on good terms for a long time. On February 11, 2025, Budden responded to the Instagram post with criticism while speaking on The Joe Budden Podcast. He said:
“Hey, Drake don't shoot at me now that you ice cold. I'm not doing it back and forth with a corpse.”
He continued:
“I wanted to do it when you was lit, it was fun. Don't go get shot all through the year and then pop up like Bernie in Weekend at Bernie's wanting to shoot at me now. Mo, ni**a, go spin. Spin the f*cking the block. Are you crazy?”
Reportedly, the feud between Joe Budden and Drake is believed to have started in April 2016 when Budden criticized the rapper’s fourth album, calling it uninspired during an episode of his podcast. While he acknowledged the production quality, he felt the rapper lacked energy.
The following month, the Canadian rapper seemingly responded in a Snapchat video shared by French Montana, where he rapped a line referencing Budden’s 2003 hit Pump It Up. This led to speculation that Drake was preparing a diss track, fueling tensions between the two artists.
