In an appearance on xQc's Kick stream, Drake revealed that his collaborative album with PartyNextDoor is nearly done, with about 25% remaining. The two announced the forthcoming album this August during one of the latter's shows in Toronto. He said to the crowd at the time:

"So, you get the summer over with, you do what you need to do. I know all you girls are outside. When it gets a little chilly, PartyNextDoor and Drake album will be waiting right there for you."

However, fans have been quick to poke fun, with many claiming that this is just Drake's attempt at throwing a life jacket onto his drowning fans, all desperate for more material. Here's what one user stated on X:

"Tryna keep his Stans off suicide watch."

Many more weighed in:

"Nobody cares! Kendrick already dropped album of the year," one fan opined.
"Drake is challenging Kendrick for AOTY," someone else asserted.
"this album is gonna bring drake back in the radar," yet another noted.
"This is the album everyone is waiting for. Kendricks album is already out of everyone's rotation in my city," a fourth person contended.

The opinions went on:

"The drake disrespect in these comments is wild “He won’t sell over 200k” ?????? yall crazy LMAO," one user declared.
"Been going through Drake's discography, currently on CLB... idk I just don't like Drake x PARTYNEXTDOOR. But I'm willing to see what they come up with," someone else chimed in.
"This album feels like it should’ve dropped 8 years ago, back when toxic r&b was more popular. Come and See Me was an r&b gem. Would’ve been better timing for both of their careers. This release just seems like a backup plan after getting destroyed in rap," another user opined.
"BETTER GET COOKING ON THAT 25%!!!!" yet another user demanded.

The internet was visibly divided on just how good of an album it will be. While some claim it will dominate charts, others claim that Drake and PartyNextDoor simply won't work well together.

Drake vows his and PartyNextDoor's album is going to be "good," reveals plans of a tour in Australia same day as Kendrick Lamar's Halftime Superbowl show

In the livestream, Drake noted that the album is "75 percent done shout out to PX cooking right now." He also revealed that the "album sounds incredible...This album is good; it's the sound that people know and love us for."

Just this October, OVONoel, an engineer and producer, referred to the forthcoming album as "a classic" on one of the episodes of his The Fry Yiy Show on SiriusXM. He said,

"You guys know what’s coming for you. Party and Drake have a classic. We trying to put the finishing touches on it, so… Yeah, it’s a jam-packed month for me filled with the thing that I love to do the most, besides being the world’s greatest dad.”

During the same livestream with xQc, Drake announced his plans to hit the road for his Anitta Max Wynn tour in Australia, which begins on February 9. However, it happens to be the same day that Kendrick Lamar will be playing the Halftime Show at the Super Bowl LIX. He said, on the stream:

"I'm coming to Australia for the first time in eight years, coming back to Australia on tour it's actually funny enough called the Anitta Max Wynn tour. Melbourne, Sydney, Gold Coast."

As for when the album will be released, details remain scarce. However, the One Dance rapper did once announce that it will drop when the weather is "a little chilly." Furthermore, PartyNextDoor has revealed that it will span 15 songs.
